Any cat back or muffler system would work. You get the cel if the cats are removed or if you use race cats. An O2 spacer or a tune can help eliminate the cel if you go that route.

We have it arriving shortly and it will not cause CEL. The Akrapovic one with HFC will add a lot of sound but once you mess with the cats, it's when CEL comes on. We suggest the Novitec Techtronic Unit which will eliminate the CEL however we have yet to test it on a USA car. We will notify you of the results.

We are finishing up testing now on our catback exhaust options. We are likely going to offer a Valved Muffler Bypass Exhaust (which is already live on our website) and a traditional X-Pipe exhaust to stay true to our roots. We just dyno-tested the X-Pipe and it sounds absolutely wicked!

TUBI developed a 488 specific solution in two different configurations:

    - a first configuration with muffler and "no kat" pipes, that solve the lambda problems with a spacer
    - a second configuration with muffler and a 200 cell catalysts

    Tubi Style / 488 GTB E SPIDER

Unfortunately, the new Ferrari lambda sensor generation is no more an "on/off" version: the new sensor is a mix between an ON/OFF and a WIDE BAND sensor.
It means that now the ECU can measure the internal temperature of the sensor: with this technology, it is possible that in some specific case the ECU can understand the removing of the catalyst.
My suggestion is to mount a race catalyst: with a no kat pipe on a turbo engine you will not gain a lot of power (compared to a race catalyst), the only difference is a louder sound.

We have been driving quite some time on our 488 GTB with the Novitec Techtronic unit and no issues with the Exhaust and High Flow Cat Combination. :)

I Suggest going that route that way you dont have any worries with a loss of power or check engine light.

OR the other option is to go with the Novitec Rear Section with the OEM cats. Here is the video of that setup!
