It's called accident prevention ;). Car still alongside? Don't turn in. He would've outbraked Rosberg and taken the undercut and actually look amazing.

Anyways...I've laid the blame out multiple times now.

Hasn't been that for a good while now, with the exception of the few usual suspects (who don't say anything when the race is actually exciting, lol).

Agree...not having a processional is a good thing! Also, Ham and Nico are the only real challengers for the title, so this is what happens when the top two guys in similar machines refuse to give an inch.

Hopefully Merc doesn't neuter the WDC by going full-on team orders. I imagine the environment may be fairly toxic, though, so I expect Merc to take control of the on-track skirmishes.

Seriously, Nico was an ass and got what he deserved. Will stewards penalize further?

It would be utterly toxic, and if it hamstrings Nicole, I think he/she will leave Mercedes and her career at the front will be over.

Also, please......whoever authorized the floozy girlfriend to do the interviews.....not again, ok?

I consider the word "ass" is not according to good manners and the regulations of this forum not matter if somebody is against Nico Rosberg

Brilliant race, absolutely brilliant! I thought the Mercedes' Q2 screwup that left them on the ultra-soft tires at the race start would leave them at the mercy of Ferrari, but even without Vettel's tire failure I think Mercedes would have still got them. The Ferraris seem to be too hard on tires, they can't manage the long tire runs that Mercedes and Force India can get so they are restricted on race strategy.

Another fun Rosberg/Hamilton coming together! I didn't get to see the post-race interviews with Nico or Hamilton, but I did see where Toto said that Rosberg's rear brake-by-wire system had failed at the start of the last lap, so his braking was compromised before the fateful corner. Hamilton was the victim in the collision, Rosberg definitely was aggressive! Perhaps because of the brake problem, Rosberg did turn in late and run Hamilton off the track, which could draw a sanction under normal circumstances if there is contact. Even after running Hamilton off, he didn't leave Hamilton any space to rejoin the track, so at least Rosberg is giving as good as he gets. Hamilton did a better job of managing tires (again), and aside from Rosberg's brake problem, his tires were shot before that last lap, so Hamilton suddenly had a chance.

I think Hamilton played the last lap perfectly. He turned in late because of Rosberg being on the inside, tried to leave the space while just staying on the outside of the track, but Rosberg screwed up with the damaged brakes (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he didn't deliberately delay turning in to cause the collision).

With the yellow flag that flicked into view on the right side just as Rosberg and Hamilton passed that marshal station - it would have been hard for the drivers to have spotted it coming up that late, but even then, it wasn't a normal pass in that Rosberg's car was obviously damaged and crippled so it was not a racing pass, Rosberg was already slowing with the damaged car.

Overall great race, another fantastic drive from Verstappen. The kid has such fantastic feel on the brakes, he's incredible - one of the two best on the brakes since last year (the other of the best brakers is Hamilton). As soon as this kid gets a competitive car, he'll be World Champion.

IMO Lewis has far too many lock ups under braking these days. He was extremely good before electric/brake by wire, now definitely not. In fact he's worst of the top on brakes...sure he brakes late often but on the big picture, definitely not. Far too many big lock ups and ****ed tires because of it.

RBR is definitely a good car to be in next year. 23 tokens to spend still (by far the most of any team), Newey on board and those 2 drivers...my goodness. Next year will be spectacular.

I haven't seen a replay ,but from what i remember i would be amazed if Nicole does not receive some kind reprimand for this, even Kyvat is not dumb enough to just drive straight into his team mate.

I heard the marshals were going to investigate Rosberg for "continuing with a damaged car".

I wonder if that's to hand-wave away Ham passing directly in front of Perez's beached car, under yellow.

Marshals called Rosberg to the office for 2 infractions:
    1) Causing a collision
    2) Continuing w a damaged car

Hamilton passed before the yellow light. AND all drivers are allowed to pass a slow-moving damaged car under any lights.

Flag was waved clearly before Hamilton passed. Also note that the yellow light in his cockpit was on to indicate a yellow...

Yellow was there anyways because of Perez incident.

Max looked strong again, looking forward to next year, hoping someone has an answer for Mercedes, this is getting old. Most dominant car of the modern (post 1950) era, at least Toto and Niki have let them race each other up to this point.

Not a chance Wehrlein will take Rosberg's seat. Only if they want a weak driver in there.

I find Wehrlein average at best.

His ''amazing'' quali performance...meh. .5 faster than his teammate is what got him in the next quali session.

Drove a solid race but that's it.

He's been beaten far too many times by an extremely average driver (haryanto) to warrant a top seat.

You misunderstand. I never said the yellows were for Rosberg, I'm saying any car can pass a much slower moving damaged vehicle under ANY lights.

You just answered your own question: He's always been Toto's pet and pets are controllable. Clear #1, clear #2.

Rosberg is fast becoming a bit of a liability,if he gets renewed i really hope its only for 1 year max....MB could put virtually anyone in that car and get the same ,or better results (yeh i know you could say the same thing about lewis etc).
