I totally understand, but I see this as more kiddie stuff and not so serious.

A lot of this stuff the older I get the more I don't pay attention to it. I wish all players acted more appreciative, but even when they do (J.J. Watt) some people then think you're just a phony. Athletes that are considered The Best can't win unless they just keep a low profile and only come out to show up for the game time.

Do not kid yourself, the NBA does not care about role-models, little kids who watch, etc...they care about 1 thing and 1 thing only; it's all about the Benjamins.

It is still poor behavior and sportsmanship by one of the greatest athletes of our time. He is on top of the world right now, rubbing salt in the fresh wounds. He is very predictable in his antics and that is why he does have a lot of "haters".

no but many of us do care, and choose to criticize the behavior. The NBA leaves it up to the media for this stuff.

It's probably a good thing you're not aware of how deep the digs go on the court and on the field. The trash talking that goes on is insane.

I've never understood the whole role model thing.

And he seems to be one hell of a good dad too.

Everything you've mentioned is another reason why I'll never understand the unadulterated hatred of Lewis Hamilton. You'd swear he killed a bunch of babies with the hatred people have for him.

Well then, he is a sore winner, plain and simple. Nothing you or I or anyone can do as it won't matter since I am certain he does not care what our opinion of him and is antics is.

Understood. But, the NBA doesn't care, and they hold the hammer, so nothing else matters.

The only thing you can do is boycott the NBA in your home and in your life....but again, that will have zero effect on the NBA and their billions of profits.

true, but I still can complain about him. These guys are divas and they most certainly care what people say about them. Look what Lebron said in his instagram as his so called motivation...no matter how misguided they are.

That's true, but I can still ***** about it.

Don't worry, I have watched for many years and will continue to do it. I understand the game in it as well, as Lebron is just garnering more interest where this is going to be a serious rivalry that will peak the interest of all in the future. It's always good to have "the big rivalry as it seems this may turn out to be in the next several years. We have 1:1 so far with major championships in cities that really deserve it.

I am happy for Cleveland, for all the fans in Ohio. I was born in Akron... in fact, I was actually born in the same hospital as Lebron...and for that fact Steph Curry, for that matter...

Jason, what I am talking about is much more than the trash talking on the court. Lebron's antics go beyond the field of play.

It probably makes most of you laugh, but Lebron continues to mock Curry and the Warriors at his return and victory parade... take your win and be happy. contgraulate the other team and enjoy the spoils...

Do you guys think the Warriors will get Kevin Durant? and if not, what free agent would you go after to supplement Curry, Klay, and Draymond? ...who are all essentially signed for the next 5 years...

    You are 100% correct.

Lebron definitely needs a lesson on "act like you've been there"....ironically, he could learn that from Curry.

Cannot stand this move but cant blame durant. Gsw gives up their worst starter in barnes and replaces him with kd who is now their best player. Insane and disgusting. Why couldn't they have gotten melo instead? They better win 80 games now

    Of course it makes sense.

He has essentially a one year contract. 2nd year is a player option year. That means he plays this year, wins a championship (assuming GS doesn't fall on its ass during the playoffs again) and then signs a MEGA deal when the cap skyrockets next year.

He can play there one year, or five if he wants, but he now has a giant deal for one year, a great chance to win a championship, and total flexibility for next year.

Ask yourself this question. Would you like to be the best player on a really good team, or the best player on a GREAT team? Not really all that tough to answer.

Or, even easier, "would you like to be the best player on a crap team, or 6th man on a great team?" Been there done that. average player on a great team beats the snot out of being the best player on a lousy one. WINNING is what it's about, right?

What I do find interesting is KD has been fibbing about how tall he is for the past few years. Lists himself at 6'9", turns out he's more like 7' tall. Wonder what that's all about.

I agree.... these guys want max dollars AND a ring.... and Lebron killed the idea that loyalty to a team matters anymore.

I think the 6'9" vs 7' thing is probably overblown... I'm sure at some point he was measured at 6'9" and beyond that he just doesn't care.

This makes all the sense in the world...
For KD, this gives him the best chance to win that "elusive" NBA championship. He had a meeting with NBA all time great and Warriors Exec, Jerry West last week who told Durant that he still feels the sting of losing all of those chances to win an NBA championship. West was essentially a great player who only won the title once in his storied career, where he even serves as the NBA's Official logo. The conversation between these 2 hall of Famers likely swayed Durant's decision to join the Dubs, as West asked Durant, "do you want to be known as one of the greatest scorers of all time or do you want to have the chance to be known as one of the greatest players of all time and have a chance to be a part of something very special. If KD was to every secure his hall of fame future, this was the decision that makes the most sense. He could have made a lot more money staying in OKC with a lot more flexibility in his future. KD badly wants to win and he can see himself winning big on this current team of Warriors.

For the Warriors, I don't think the 73 win season will ever be toppled again, despite the addition of Durant. Last year's team was really something special through the start of the regular season up until 2 minutes left in the 2016 NBA season. The NBA, media, and most fans of the NBA that are not Warriors Fans revelled hard in the epic collapse of the Warriors, somehow making the Warriors into Villains in the process, harping on Green's behavior and subsequent suspension, Klay Thompson's criticism of Lebron's antics that reportedly lit a fire under Lebron to make him take the series over, and Curry's poor play and complaining in game 6 with subsequent fouling out and technical call secondary to Lebron's "flop". Last year's Warriors were motivated in trying to show the naysayers that their last season's championship and subsequent 73 win season, "was not lucky". Since the epic loss, this team's attitude has likely changed.

They are about trying to win championships without a care in how others view them in the process. In the Last finals due to their defeat the Media had managed to turn a couple of sharp shooting Choir boys and an overachieving, undersized, do-it-all defensive MVP quality player into a bunch of whiner's who couldn't handle the pressure, and couldn't handle their emotions and ultimately gave away the championship to "the overwhelming underdog" Messiah of the NBA, the greatest player of all time Lebron James...

In the signing of Durant, the Warriors have effectively decimated the NBA's most talented team in the OKC Thunder and they have greatly improved their roster for the playoff run for the next 5 years...if the NBA wants a rivalry-here it comes...next year I have my money on Durant not going 2/30 in the last 3 games of the series...

I truly feel sorry for OKC, as they truly don't deserve this...
