To be fair to Rosberg, he only went half Montoya, since he actually didn't leave the track. :)

    All the best,

Actually full MS ... 1997 or was it '98?

Anyway ... Mercedes saying there was a brake issue with his car is BS!

Rosberg drove like a fncken idiot, end of story. How the guy even made it to F1 is beyond me!, and I can no longer even remotely support him and if he DOES become a WDC the sport has lost any remaining credibility it still had.

Two guys crashing like this in the 60's would have meant at least one of them crashing on fire.

Today the drivers know the cars can crash and the chance for something horrible is slim. It's a different world today. Crashing is just a fun slow motion replay for the audience and not a funeral.

    You are right.

I don't miss the casualties, but I do miss the sportmanship then ...

    What he said.

Rosberg as WDC would be a joke.

Exactly. I feel the drivers today use the cars more as weapons than they should.

Like Hamilton did in turn 1, lap 1 at COTA 2015 you mean....

Squeezing and then "crowding" of track, leaving another driver no space to race. See FIA f1 sporting regulations.

It was a bit clumsy, but to his defence Rosberg had braking problems in the final lap of the race.

And Hamilton decided to commit to the turn in...

Could've just as well ended with another Max win.

    Unfortunately it didn't.

You're kidding right?? ...a bit clumsy? I don't believe the braking problem excuse at all either.
roseburg had a agenda to take out his teammate...it back fired on him.

I'm no Hamilton fan but come one! Let be realistic and call it like it is....bias's aside.

rosberg after race interview really didn't help him either. He responded like a spoiled brat.

relax... We have seen Hamilton do that on Rosberg over and over... and blaming his breaks etc... Rosberg is just not (yet?) as good at it.

Bias, aside but between the two, all Rosberg is to blame for is that he is still fresh at being mean and nasty. Give him time to learn, perhaps one day he will be able to push Hami off the track 'cleanly'. He is new to the business. He learnt two years in a row that being vanilla doesn't buy you a WDC.

If you want my opinion, the problem at Mercedes is that they have 2 spoiled brats as drivers.

What looked like ideal on paper, ends up being a nightmare to manage.

Don't even need to go back to 2015 since Elton jumped the shark at both Spain and again at Canada, don't tell me he gave Rosberg ANY option but to go off at turn 1 at Canada. As for Spain he was nowhere near where he needed to be to effect a pass and yet the Elton is a driving god crew on here felt the law should force any driver, especially Nico, to allow a driver that is behind the rear wheel to effect a pass, like you don't even need to be in front of the wheel............

Some of the comments such as Nico should be fired because of the last lap incident is breathtakingly unbalanced because Elton has done the same things multiple times. Do these fans see some sort of unearthly glow from an Englishman's orifice?

I am so sick and tired of talking about Mercedes and their two drivers for ever race for the past 3 years.

Ferrari sucks once again this year. Its their fault all we have to left to talk about is Hamilton vs Rosberg.

Who cares anymore? Let them share the championship as far as I'm concerned.

The problem is that Mercedes basically wrote the rule book for this formula and they are running the table. No question WDC is going to be one of the two Mercedes drivers, so why shouldn't we expect these situations? I think that there are many drivers, if given the opportunity to drive for Mercedes who would be world championship contenders. The car is that superior and in this formula--as well as the last--the car is 90+ % of the equation.

As I mentioned in another thread, I would like to see Mercedes conduct a Dutch Auction(low bid wins) by drivers for one of their seats. I'm guessing that many would drive for free.

I have been an ardent F1 fan for more than 40 years. I hate this formula and these rules but I still love the sport--what's left of it.

    Where's Ian?

Jan Lammers made exactly the same point. Both drivers enjoyed a superb car since 2014, a gap (relative to other cars) not ever seen before and enjoyed the luxury of others being unable to catch up because of the rules. Yet the drivers are 2 spoiled pricks (and especially Hamilton, he said), whinging about stupid things, acting like prima donna's. He said ANYONE would be world champion in that car, all they have to do is beat each other. There is no competition. If Rosberg was useless, the last 3 years would've been even worse for everyone.

    He didn't hold back.

Absolutely right, and now we have a senna-like Hamilton who think he had a God-given right to win at all cost; even if it costs points to his team.
He even goes as far as telling them what to do!
It must be humiliating for Wolff to be criticised for even mentioning team orders!
There is surely a price to pay for employing a talented prima doña, and harmony in the team is the first casualty.
Mercedes' investment in the team and the cars can be jeopardised by one of their driver on an ego trip. They have the best car and 2 of the bests drivers, but the chemistry isn't there.
Just looking at the atmosphere after a win tells you all you have to know about the tension. Instead of rejoicing, each driver gets to the first available microphone to complain about his team mate. And just look at their faces and the body language!!!
They can't even appreciate their success and good fortune.
    Really pathetic.

+1. Even if he did have break problems, how come he didn't even try to turn the wheel? He was waiting to see Lewis reaction and hope that he would back up.

Oooooo, ouch, so cutting....... But you do need to get your facts correct if you are going to try to deliver a stinging line.

??? How on earth could that fool become PM, he isn't even in the same political party as that which will be supplying the replacement PM. I'm not sure where you are buying your wisecracks, but you need to invest a little more as they are currently totally rubbish.

If you wish, I can become your supplier of wisecracks and one-liners, and they come with a three-guffaw golden guarantee.

If you want to see some of my work, look up eltons excuses for hitting rosberg in Austin, Texas, and of course his fantastic stand up routine in Monaco a couple years ago, especially the skit about tyre stops and mechanics with long noses - comedy gold

Team my work up with a few effeminate blouses, hair tints by 'Rogered', bieber, and a bit of bling, and you have the perfect comedy sitcom, guaranteed a second season of fun and frolics
