It looks great but IMOP it looks new because the paint is new..ish
My 2000 456 has mostly original paint but the quality of the original is very poor.
May be the paint quality went down hill in the late 90's.
Lots of people comment that exfactory cars from the 90's on need a lot of detailing before delivery.
Special colours I am told are better because the factory don't paint them.

I've heard the same things. This one's a 1995, so it's likely a lead-based as opposed to water-based paint. Not sure when the switch would have been, someone more knowledgeable than I will have to answer. Still amazed it's held up this well over time. Many other cars I've seen have developed orange peel.

Jurgen - looks superb. I agree with Taz's comment - my cream stitching is a nightmare to keep clean! Any tips anybody for cleaning effectively?

Have you tried Gliptone, or Renapur? I did use Gliptone and was happy, the cleaner seemed to work well. However IMO the Renapur certainly leaves the leather softer - not sure how good the cleaner is though

Simon, this gives me really a headache....

On one hand, my car has been seldomly used, I bought it practically from it's first owner, secondly, I have a close friend of mine who is mainly in the privat jet business. They are specialised in the interior reconditioning of these costly jet's and serve some of the big fleets of aircraft's in Germany. In this business only the results counts. The jet's should always look like they have been delivered yesterday - that's it.

So no specky, worn or shiny leather, good smell, perfectly cared for leather and all other interior components.

I use their products and, personally, I'm more than happy with them....

    Thats great !

I've been using mine for the last eight years average about 8,000 miles a year.

    I just turned 71,000 miles :)

    I should add a picture !

She gets washed and waxed every month at the dealer ....

Well driven and well cared for, I doubt you have a lot of trouble with your Maranello Bill....

After a quiet long time that I havn't had the chance to drive my Maranello, yesterday I took the car for a summer blast of 225 km (appr. 140 mls.). Having used just B-roads practically without traffic, the car brought a lot of pleasure to me and performed flawless....
