i notice that there is a small change of detail on the front wheel arches. that little vent i wish to see the car in lighter color for a clearer look.

Olivier, I know you're french, but you do know that a french kiss is a not a kiss by a french right ? :p

Blame whoever is in charge of Fchat for that.

Just because Ferrari doesn't mean you gotta pay for the most basic feature that has pretty much been free everywhere else for the last 20 years...

I'm sure that feature has something to do with the necessary new door opening system.

And I don't believe the mirrors stick out more than they do in the coupé, the visibility has to be pretty much the same. The side-by-side bird's view pictures posted before, in case anyone noticed, used notably different distances.

At first I was really bothered that they were releasing a Spider version of the LaF. After seeing these pics, Im ok with the coupe. It's beautiful but I think I like the coupe more.

Yes it is Michael Fux. He made a post on his IG about it. But as Peter said...in the other LaFerrari Spider thread only Red, black, yellow, grey and white will be availabe together with their specified interior colours.

I have a question though, why not blue!!?

Im sure it has to do with the production delays they were facing before which were related to paint. More people are choosing unique colors and triple layer paints these days which take longer due to capacity.

    THIS.

I suspect Mr Fux to post some BS on his Instagram Account. He posted a teaser picture of a "1300hp limited edition 918 spyder" ...

Why not blue... Excellent Question. If I were Peter I would simply have punched the Ferrari Dude in the face. He owns the following cars in TDF Blue : 599 GTO, 599XX, LaFerrari, Speciale A, FXX-K, F12Tdf AND THEY REFUSED TO PAINT ANOTHER CAR IN BLUE ?

    SHAME ON THEM

I don't think Fux would waste time posting BS on instagram.
918 and P1 updates rumors are getting more and more consistent.

Also, Fux is famous for custom colors (with more or less success). I wouldn't be surprised to see his car Orange... Wouldn't be the first time Ferrari say something and do something else.

I am pretty sure also Peter's car will be BLUE, but , as probably the orange Fux, won't be made by Ferrari. They need to deliver all the car by the 2016. Stock market is demanding. Custom colors are longer lead time. Wrapping is safe and easy. When you selle the car ( if any fool will ever do that ) in 1 hr you have the car as at exit of Maranello. That's easy from my understanding.

Has, by the way, the production of 499 LaFerraris come to end in 2015 or it is still assembled?

Peter confirmed in the LaFerrari Spider thread that they kept the scissor doors. I was surprised they did not show this feature in any of the official first pictures because it's going to look amazing!

Having seen a few different coloured examples I can say that cloth roof is a textural break in some beautiful lines. With the roof off the front windscreen sticks up in isolation with no context to the rear of the car. It's as though this car was designed to get out the door as opposed to really push anything foward. The small colour palate doesn't do it much justice either.

Yet I'm sure the driving experience would be pretty incredible with the roof down as will the future collectibility of the aperta.

The exact colours available are Rosso Corsa, Triple Yellow, Grigio Ferro Metallic, Bianco Italia and Nero Daytona.

So I was going to ask what the spotted grey car colour was, this supposedly answers my question.

At least they chose nice variants, especially Ferro, Italia and Tri-Giallo. Will they also carry an extra cost over Rosso Corsa and Nero Daytona? :D

I'm still in the hope that in the end a few of them leave the factory in *other* colours, just because traditionally they never do 100% what they promise :D :D

Now that Amedeo Felisa has left the building, perhaps a couple of cars can be painted for the 'blue' collectors. The 'sweater guy' has some more serious problems to contend with these days than picking colors.

The original argument against special colors was that Carrozzeria Zanasi was already too busy. Two of the colors mentioned are not regularly available now for the LaFerrari...
