Hit White Spot. We buy my aunt restaurant and store gift cards. Its easier for her to deal with cards over actual cash. Anyway, she doesn't like White Spot, decided to use the card myself. Toasted shrimp sandwich and fries with gravy.

Fun, now I have to go to the dentist. Hate going! Chipped a dang tooth.

It was actually an old chip that had a crown or whatever put on in like 1984. Guess when I tripped the other day it loosened. I floss daily and when doing so last night. It came fully off. Its more cosmetic VS the inside of the tooth exposed. So he'll fix it next week.

That's a good old fashioned, Southern meat and three, my good man!! Mmm. Mmm. Good. Next time, replace the green beans with collards. Please tell me you washed that down with a sweet tea!

Haha Tom ive been hearing "meet n three" all week. Im def a southern canadian. I tried real sweet tea for the first time and its not my cup of tea! (Full pun intended).

    Never tried collards!

Overall that meal was great. I think ive put on a couple of lbs this week but so worth it. :)

Don't feel bad, I've lived in the southern U.S. most of my adult life and I still can't abide sweet tea. When I lived in Memphis, it was essentially a super saturated sucrose solution with some food coloring. 😝

Collards can be bitter. So, you can parboil/blanch them before cooking. Or, do what I do, doctor them up with bacon/fatback/hocks and hot sauce! 😀

Salmon on the gas grill, with rice & fresh sweet corn our friend bright back from Ohio. Yummy. I got bored, so I made my own sauce. Simple: peaches, red pepper flakes, stick blender, reduce in a sautee pan. Hot!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
    Twas good though. 😀

Yeah, I don't get sweet tea. When we built our processing plant. The contractor/project manager was from Alabama originally. He brought his brother up to weld all the catwalks and stainless lines. The welder had a plastic cup he carried everywhere. He drank tea all day. I thought it was booze or something else. Both guys stayed at my house instead of a hotel. So one night asked to try some of his "tea". It was ok. Was a little disappointed it wasn't booze.

Did a Safeway run...... They had some seafood specials. Got some frozen scallops and shrimp. Noticed wild swordfish steaks on two for $8.99. Did those for dinner. Cheated on the Alfredo pasta side dish Knorr® Pasta Sides ? Alfredo Pasta

Salmon with its natural oil is so versatile. Sweet or spicy - you can work wonders. That does sound very tasty though.

Thanks. Oh yeah, I also kept it moist by putting a little of my Dos Equis Amber on it, while it was cooking.

Since we've been back in our house, I've done it twice on the gas grill: super hot, no flipping, about 6 - 7 mins, skin side down. My wife doesn't like the skin, so this approach gives a nice crispy skin that separates easy from the flesh. I snack on the skin!

Lightly sweetened is fine. Putting enough sugar to make it crystallize on the bottom of the glass is another story.

    I like swordfish, a nice, meaty fish...T

Guys,it's a known fact,a well known fact, you can google it or ask Uro,that the Beacon in Spartanburg SC sells more sweetened ice tea than any other place in the cotton picking whole wide world.
They even bottle the stuff and it gets distributed far and wide..I don't care for it(it doesn't travel well). And what they ship isn't counted in what they sell at the Beacon itself..it is really that well known!
    Cheers,
    RE

Bone in rib eye on the kettle. Yummy with some of my peach/red pepper flake concoction. Steamed broccoli and sweet corn as a go with.

My wife has *literally* picked that up and carried it on her lap on her connecting flight home so I could have some BBQ for dinner after picking her up!

An ok dinner. Brother wanted to buy the nephew new clothes and shoes. JC Penny had some deal on Nikes, etc. SIL being a Chinese national can't cross the border without a visa. So we left her home. Thankfully, the buffet my nephew wanted is closed down. Can see why with a 2 star yelp, etc. rating. Kid likes the soft ice cream machine and making his own deserts. So we went down the road and hit the Indian casino buffet. Not bad, almost Vegas good.

Since we hit the mall. I had too buy Cinnabon. Dang those things are good. But I think they changed the dough recipe. Its more regular cin bun VS Cinnabon distinct dough.
