First pic I've seen of it being back to TF livery. Looks incredible. Stroll is lucky to have such a machine. Does anyone else have more recent photos to add?

Barchetta says the color change was done in 2012, but this photo was posted by the shop in March.

    Repainted June/July 2012.
3451 GT was at Mont Tremblant 12 September 2015 in the new/old livery. Pix can be found on fchat.

I always thought that 3451 GT was black...but the above pictures show that the colour is dark brown.

    WOW

I have a 35 page file on this one. The color of the lower body work in 1962 is difficult to pin down. The in door lighting in this recent image appears to be a form of neon which makes it difficult to get the actual body color correct without the best of photographic equipment. Print out a copy of this image and the color may well look quite different, like "light" but very glossy black. Going back to images of #86 in Sicily in 1962 this color could be anything from a very dark blue to black.Barchetta lists it as maroon, go figure. The vintage B & W images show it as black but what else could it be.I have copies of color images from 1962 which show a very dark blue to black. As for today we need a series of high quality color images taken in an outdoor sunny setting to get it right. tonga's crew

Thank you. Found this online. Lighting can drastically change the way this car looks. Seems to be brown/maroon with a cream roof in this photo.

Thank you for theexplanation. Maybe the black & white photos are a little bit tricky because the colour itself is dark.

    Very beautiful photo.

Was this car (partially) rebodied after 2006?
Nose for sure but from front wheels to "A-pillar"?

Yes, for example, in the first it looks like dark brown (maroon), in the second and third looks like dark blue and in the last two looks like black!

    Btw very beautiful photos.

    Thanks for sharing.

I cannot contribute any new photographs to this debate but do recall that one of the top white metal mdellers, probably AMR, produced a 1/43 scale kit of #3451 in the mid 70s and the copy I saw was a very dark brown.

Andre Marie Ruf did extensive research on his subjects and the instructions quoted colour codes and, wherever possible, literature references. I wonder if any of the modellers retained this informatin.

The Bluemell/Pourret 'Ferrari 259 GTO' desribes the original colour as Marone. In Purret's own tome there is no mention of colour, despite a long list of mechanical details!

Apologies for commenting on such an old thread, but is 3451 GT still located in Mont-Tremblant? I cannot seem to find any recent photos of Lawrence Stroll's car collection, so I'm not too sure what is currently in the collection.

I don't believe Mr. Stroll still owns it. I think he sold it a few years ago and bought a NART Spyder.

It is not right. He still owned his GTO in 2017 for the 55th anniversary and he bought his Part Spyder (10709) in 2013.

I have hundreds of photos of the restoration I did to the car 20+ years ago. It came to Stroll from a very long time ownership and had the drivetrain from a sister car.
A crucial part of the project was to swap components and put them in the correct cars again. I was able to do this except for the rear axles, perhaps it has been done since.
The car was very original and turned into a fun project. I'll try to get photos scanned and posted.
