Thank you very much for posting that Graeme,

427 is a most interesting car, it was in an Artcurial auction at the Palais des Congres in Paris in 2000, it was lot 63 and sold for FF 260000 and then completely vanished for years.

Then a gold RHD K appeared out of nowhere...in China of all places at the new major concours in Shanghai...I almost fell off my chair when I saw those photos and later teased Adolfo Orsi who was a judge at that event and was photographed next to the Khamsin since he tends to stick to...Orsi era Masers and snub anything from before or after:).

Well it turned out that it had been bought by a Hong Kong Tycoon who has a huge collection and likes very low mileage cars. He probably never drove it. The placement of the two outside mirrors are awkward with the chrome pillar in the way.

Obviously very attractive colors and THE lowest mileage of any K in the world even beating one in Germany which famously only has 1200kms, I hope it is bought by someone back in the UK who drives it.

    Best regards,

    Marc

    Or in Australia.. :)

Did the auction already take place on June 11? Some cars, like the F355, also with very low mileage, are listed as sold, but the Khamsin is still on offer: RL NEO CLASSICS

Absolutely true and closer to HK:)

I guess it did not sell, how many know what a K is in HK:)?! There is an opportunity for the right person:)

Thanks for the updates on 427. I had been wondering about the history of such a low mileage car. Before the auction the Chassis no was a mistery too.

Now for another one I cannot identify, the attached photo seems to be older.
But is this maybe the same car you advertise on your new Website Marc?
If so, you sure know it's chassis identification ?

    Hello Roger,

Never seen that shot before thanks for posting it, and sorry to say I find no trace at all of that UK registration in my files.
The photo was taken in mainland, northern Europe (traffic shows that is not the UK), where did you find it just randomly online or?

    Best regards,

    Marc

    Hi Graeme,

Yes this is the ex Fritz Harms car, former President of the Dutch (Holland) Maserati club.
I rode in it in May 2011 for several hours from Eindhoven Holland to the statue of Neptune in Brussels Belgium, identical and made centuries ago by Jean de Boulogne the same artist who created the one in Modena but this one has a much more pleasant background, a park as opposed to ugly dirty buildings, which is why I chose it.

We saw 220kph/140mph on the way down, it ran really well, we then executed the photoshoot by Dirk de Jager with the help of my friend Philippe who knows his way around Brussels bureaucracy. That as was the plan put it on the cover of my book, a perfect day I have to say:))).
The Rame metallizzato color is quite spectacular, particularly in sunshine:)

Oops I meant to write identical to the statue of Neptune in Bologna of course, not Modena, sorry:).

    Hey Khamsin lovers,

Just a quick note to say that *208 arrived back in Europe after being in Japan for the first 39 years of its life. A lot of work that needs to be done but it seems all parts are here and in restorable condition. It will get the TLC it deserves once the other projects are "finished"

Some pics of its arrival and transfer to its temporary resting place

    All the best from Berlin

Congrats Dirk, the very first Japanese delivery car to be reimported directly into Europe:) One other is in Germany, that one came back via the US, just like another now in Holland also back via the US.

    Best of luck with it.

No Sale at 160K Euro. Didn't look like there were a lot of people in the room from the camera angle. A lot of No Sales, especially Ferraris.

Thanks for the info, am not at Le Mans Classic this time. That huge tent can be very hot on a sunny afternoon so only motivated people actually stay for the auction itself. Of course the whole classic car market has cooled as everyone saw in the Monaco Historic GP auctions late May and before that.

    Best regards,

Looking great! Is that the 2nd Mulsanne straight chicane, facing back?

308GT4 is a Bertone cousin all that is missing is a Lambo Urraco:)

    Khamsinisti,

After 7 weeks in Europe I arrived back in South Africa with my roll of dark brown mousehair for the dash-top :) Now I just wish I didn't have to take half the dash apart to get the top off...

    I have 2 photo-requests:
    1)
Does anyone have a detail photo of the stitching of the fabric panel in the door centre?
    2)
The little spring in my driver's side doorhandle has broken. Can anyone tell me the direction of the prongs? If not, I'd have to take the doorhandle off the other side just to have a look at this.

    Thanks!

    Jack.
