My tool kit is complete other than one of the screwdrivers
I've checked out the big book but can't determine which one is missing...
The one in my kit is a flat head
I assume the other would be a Phillips?

    Can anyone shed some light?

    Thanks
    Chas

You might try and contact 'TonyL' in the UK. Some time ago, he made some lovely repops.

I think Tom Shaughnessy also made some nice reproductions, although that might have been pliers.

    Give him a shout.

Yes they are remade items, the patterns were all taken from originals.

Yours are real. That's all you really need to know.

How do I know yours are real? Because they were in the trunk of a pretty neglected car when I bought her, and at that point, the market had not realized any value in tools/books jack/ etc., so no one was yanking them out and selling them separately. And, no repops were available when I bought the car.

Oh, and no, the books and pouch are not ALL original to the car. I had to pick a couple of them up from a good friend who went out of his way to make sure they were from a car that was produced the same month at the factory. the warranty card, and, as I recall, the operators manual are original. The rest are age correct. :D

Here we go again - the unmarked fakey-do trying to pass as an original.

Patina is pretty easy to fake.

Send me a couple new repro screwdrivers, I'll make 'em look like they belong for free.
