It got 433hp but the clutch started slipping. Running on 12psi boost. Had a feeling the clutch was on its way out. So time for a new clutch Going to do another power run in the beginning of July after the new clutch goes in but this time im gojng to video it. Sounds great once the wastegates open up dumps to atmosphere
Nice pic but black is so hard to keep clean. I have a 96 black lotus esprit S4s and after 5 mins from cleaning it looks dusty again. But the 308 does look great in black

From memory the torque was a touch over 600nm. But boost cuts in at 5000rpm torque peak was at 7200rpm but i will get better detail on the next run when new clutch is fitted.
Great photos, looks like a fantastic event. But... All those cars from the entire spectrum of Ferrari history, and there was only ONE 328 (black), and no 308s???!!!
That doesn't sound very useful....if I'm understanding you. There's no boost below 5000rpm? To me, that would be disappointing, but I'm keen to know why you've set it up like that. If it drove like a normal 308 up until 5000rpm I'd be jumping off the nearest balcony.....are you using it as a race car only or something? Otherwise my little brain is having trouble comprehending. Most of my driving is between 2000 and 4000, so that's where I'd want the torque if I ever stuck a turbo on it. Having said that, 600nm is huge!!
Im going to crank the boost up on the next run and hopefully get in the high 600s. It does feel good when it kicks in
You can't bring in the boost sooner? from 2000rpm on would have to be fantastic, wouldn't it? What engine management are you using?
To bring on the boost earlier i need to change the turbo with a smaller rear end. 0.91 rear end would bring the boost on at around 2500 and max boost and 3300 Engine management is the the oem bosch but with a modified timing setup Its been very reliable so didnt want to change it but im very limited to tuning. If it was to fail i will change to EFI Could easily get up to 500hp with EFI and tuned on e85 with better injectors
Just back from the UK - 10 days of English summer - with only a couple of opportunities to get the toys out. Missing them already! Cheers Mark Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
