I was already watching the N-Ring by then......

Turned back just in time to catch Hambone's smug posturing during the interview. He STILL nearly made me gag!

He would've had a better chance with the full front wing....

the wing probably made some difference, but i imagine it couldn't have made that big of a difference. he probably still had >1 second on max, just it seems like the ferrari doesn't have great traction out of the slower corners. (t1)

That, and you have a crafty driver in front. Max would change his braking points and vary his speed in that corner, so it wasn't as simple as driving at highest speed through the corners

Max is quite simply one of the best to defend his position. Great to watch.

Wing definitely made a difference, but even so...Ferrari just slow out of the last corner, compromising speed out onto the straight making overtaking so, so hard.

hats off to max. he defended incredibly well. i was saying that at lap 50 that if max could keep kimi behind it would be a miracle...

More like Max braking early and forcing kimi to play by his rules and his pace. Couple that w his extra late blocking maneuvers and that rb becomes really wide at an already hard-to-pass circuit.

25sec ++ crossing the finish line is huge

when ric closing in on merc and those guys on tv screaming how RB gonna come at merc bla bla bla i knew it's just merc taking a relax sunday drive and look how far RB fallen behind

Amazing Race by Hamilton, he is the master of controlling the race by balancing pace and wear on the car. Just incredible from -43 points to +6... STILL I RISE!!!

    ???

Either you must have confused the gap from Mercedes w Ferrari or I must be delusional lol.

Ric was in the single digit, I believe by 9ish seconds.

Hamilton still moaning about Rosberg yesterday. Does he not comprehend that the track was improving still?

Agreed. Max moved twice before the collision, and he moved in the breaking zones several times. Should have gotten a warning at least.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

My impression too, but some research showed we're both wrong!

with 20 laps to go, gap was 9 seconds and closing.

After that, suddenly a second a lap difference.

As horner said...Mercedes are in their own formula....

Ya, whatever it was then, still somewhat moot. RB didn't have the pace to mount a challenge to a front-running Merc. If Ric had managed to stay ahead of both mercs at the start, then maybe they had a shot.

Ted Kravitz also saying Elton slowed down on purpose to back Rosberg into the Red bull.

Had either of the Red Bulls gotten ahead of them, we'd have had a fantastic race on our hands.

Sadly the Mercs had a good start.

    +1

Did you hear him ***** and moan endlessly in the presser just now? Still droning on about Rosberg yesterday, who LIFTED for 20-30 meters. He even had the cheek of saying he could've killed someone.

The day he leaves F1 I'm opening the biggest bottle of champagne I can find.

More secrets will come out from him then, too ;).

We where saved by Kimi's charge and Max's driving IMO.
