    Can it be?

Maserati Bora Air Condition Heater Vac Switch Vintage Part | eBay

At least it's new and not a Randazzo like this one!

Maserati Ghibli Dashboard Gauge Dimmer Light Switch Bora Sipea | eBay

OH OH OH most interesting part about that listing is the Vhrysler box!

See ... they were's doing all the way back before DeTomaso! LOL :D

Maserati, the original parts bin junkies!

Maybe it's just a Chrysler New Yorker or Imperial piece from the late 50's through early 70's.

Did you check with these guys? I've used them for the last 20 years and they have a lot of stuff.

Here's a clue, the styling is identical!

Here is one, a Paris show car no less, coming up in the Boule Monaco auction later this month. Don't know the car and am not involved in any way.

Good deal. I got my front turn signal lens for my Biturbo from them last year for a great price. Over here they are ten times as much because they're also used on a certain other car.

Let us know if it shows up in a Chrysler box with a part #. I couldn't find anything that was the same so it may be a euro Chrysler source.

...could have at least left the instrument panel black, to provide some dignity & contrast...

I said that only with respect to those who prize originality.

It looks very nicely executed but Boras weren't dressed quite that sexy back in the day. Perhaps they should have been?

The front trunk is interesting what with the clutch fluid reservoir out where you can get at it!
    Hurray!
    Luggage might bump though ...

The engine compartment looks mostly correct save the air cleaner, red ignition wires and few other things. It's a much earlier example than mine so ... I can't spot everything. But the carpeted cover looks very correct except for the carpet itself. That's hard to find. At least it isn't red!

I think it's very nicely done.

Also. It could be the way the photo has been taken but the 2 front oval bompers seem to stick out a little to far and the mesh also looks incorrect.

Can anyone tell me where Maserati from what other automobile sourced the exterior door handles for the Bora? I might need one. Or if anyone has the door handles, please let me know.

    Hello---

They were from the Citroen DS series, after 7/1971.
You can buy as many new ones as needed from here:

Thanks for the lead. Does anyone have a lead on the driver's side exterior door handle with with a lock already installed or would I have to modify one from the parts place Boralogist recommended?

Look for Citroen GS door handles, they have the locks in them. Hard to find, google French sources: "citroen GS, poignée de porte". Maybe someone from France can chime in?

I bought a pair from the Citroen and the handle is identical but some of the levers etc on the back are different so you will need to build a hybrid from your current handle and the old one

I can't thank every enough for all of the worthwhile leads. The bora group has a great camaraderie which I deeply appreciate. As an aside, I just got my turn signal assembly rebuilt by O.D.D. Parts, expensive but absolutely amazing work and I how have an assembly the will last forever. I recommend them to all who have had problems and cannot find a NOS assembly for replacement. Even those will eventually fail unless you are very, very lucky. By the way, they look exactly stock.

More detail please. Thanks for O.D.D. lead.

LHM best current rebuilder? Older, former sources update to present? Anyone had good results in past 12 months?

Thanks to all for detailed support tips.
Here in SoCal, great work done by Historic Race Engineering. Greg. Ask.

    Press on!

    Excellent.. and thanks!

I note you said NEW rams were made, not old ones rebuilt. Interesting! Not sure why necessary, but appreciate any discussion.

Switches apparently were rebuilt? Did you get extra o-rings all around and for 'reserve'?
LOVE the idea of improved aux valve and location... all details there appreciated also. Photos?
Reasonable costs, etc.? Nice to keep the car functioning as intended.

Will contact Maurice... etc. Tips re dealings NZ-wise??

    Many thanks.

    Hello---
No matter what they may tell you, trying to rebuild the old rams is a fool's errand.
Those things were not meant to be serviced. Period.

Maurice's new rams will outlast us both!
You can service them yourself with zero knowhow.
Google his many videos on YouTube and enjoy.

    Regards.
