Took delivery of the Blue 456 yesterday so I guess this has to be my favorite photo of 456/550. Not happy with the lighting, but I had to do it when I had the opportunity. Wife doesn't drive standard (convenient, right?) so I had to move all three cars to and from myself. I'm parting with the Rosso Barchetta 456 so see classified if you are interested. "the car brought a lot of pleasure to me" They do tend to do that, I so love driving my car. I'll be going out today to the Santa Monica Mountains always a glorious ride. cheers
Hi sorry if I have missed something but I am curious to the reason for the change from the red to the blue 456?
Hi Graeme: I enjoy your posts as I know you are a frequent contributor to Ferrari Chat. You have a legitimate question and I'm sure others are wondering as well. It's a somewhat long story and actually, a little embarrassing. I'll try to condense. I became an acquaintance of Dave Helms of Scuderia Rampante in Erie, Colorado about 5 years ago. I became a fan of the man, his work, his team and his shop. I would visit with him at least once or twice a year. In April, 2015 I visited and he had the Blue 456 in his shop and I inquired about it. My wife and I always admired the 456 since we first saw one in 1996. Dave said he wasn't sure what the owner wanted to do. So, in the meantime my desire for a 456 was reignited and I started a search. After several inquires and PPI's I found the Red one and purchased it, not knowing what, if anything, would come of the Blue. In September, 2015 Dave informed me that Blue would be for sale, but, since it had been sitting for years, would require a great deal of work. I knew that this would be a great car also so I agreed to purchase. In the meantime I enjoyed Red and sorted it out over time. Blue was in Dave's shop from September, 2015 to July, 2016 when I took delivery. Red is a great car and if I had never seen Blue I would be definitely keeping it. It is well sorted out, looks great inside and out, runs and sounds like it should and is an outstanding example of the model. Unfortunately I have to let it go because I have less into it and it should be easier to sell and because Blue is a "Dave Helms" car. Sorry for the long explanation and I hope that answers your question. Gary
Gary Great explination, dark colours in the 456 really suit the car, and the blue especially, which is why lots were sold in the colour. What colour is the interior of the blue car? Can I also ask can you PM me the vin numbers for my spread sheet please. Cheers Graeme

Just saw this amazing shot. Don't know if it's been posted here before. The view from above really shows off the elegant design. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Grigio Ingrid ? I think this is one of the cars used in the beautiful 456M GT + 456M GTA 4 language launch brochure.
