In lieu of the arrival of newly-molded P7s, I am considering using a nice set of original P7s that have been properly stored and remain supple, for the running-in and showing phase, post-restoration.

If the new P7s are further delayed, I may have to deploy a second set of wheels with PZeros mounted for speed work.

More to follow on this topic.

Reinhold's car, I fixed/detected the broken fuse at Bologna's main place where the official mechanical support of the Giro failed to find the course...

I was also advertised for sale that time by Turbo-Car-Trade GmbH, 22 Emmenweg,4223 Blauen Schweiz.
The cover above the carbs was painted red, their Pictures were from Bruno Wyss' Garage in Zofingen ~2010/11.

This has probably been addressed somewhere but I just wanted to ask for a quick confirmation that the ONLY formal red for a QV worldwide is 2.464.022 Rosso Siviglia?

Joe any idea who the owner is of the white QV above? This car has been on my hit list for a while. But not had any leads.

    Cheers

Steve Anderson used his illustration of our car for his Ferruccio Lamborghini tribute.

"A man who was known to roll up his sleeves..."

Sounds like my kind of guy.

    He is very talented.

I'm waiting to get Patrick Mimran & Valentino Balboni to sign mine before I frame it.

I beleive from Lamborghini "in house" gearing the QV uses the German company ZF. Some early FLA cars still had the older transmission installed. The gearing has a much more precise feel.

As Alex says, the 1985 (FLA) production cars intended component application was the German ZF box, but as always with Lamborghini in the period there was some carryover component use from the previous (LP500S) variant.

I'd say the first half-a-dozen cars had the old boxes.

I don't think the ZF boxes were 'faster' but rather more efficient, and as as Alex says agin, a more precise feel.
