    I agree completely. Used to have a gen 2. The car tends to rapidly lose value and is relatively uncomfortable. However in general as bullet proof as a piece of granite and can be as fast as hell. Simple motor/trans to work on. They hold together at track days and on the drag strip. Fun YEAH! Just a little too hard on my old beat up body now days. I'd sure have a ball in it for about 20-30 minutes after which time I would probably be crawling out the door. GTS Bruce

    Until you Drive one...You just dont know what 8.3 litres can do.
    The bolt on of torque combined with 345/ 19 rear tires is nothing short of phenomenal and quite addicting.

    Now you've done it... Looking at trading my unused Lexus in for a silver 2005 with 8k miles.
    Any advice on what to look out for?

    A 2003 was the first fast car I ever drove, so I have a soft spot for these babies!

    As has been stated , by generation 3 and 4..they made these cars Bullitproof and understressed,
    If you notice..all the wheels are 6 lug...that kinda tells you..they prepared for all the horsepower that is coming your way...

    Can't explain it but I've also loved them for as long as I can remember. On the contrary, I have very little feelings for the Corvette (even though it's a better car and very rare in Europeland, so I don't have any potential bias that an American could suffer from as ''seeing them too much'').
