    Would love to hear experiences regarding NVH of F12 in normal daily driving. I've read some reviews where much is made of the smoothness, and others where the talk is about rattles and ride harshness. (For perspective, former 458 Spider and Cali T owner.) Eager to hear thoughts.

    Fyi, background is a few days ago my dealer offered me a build that came available and I placed my order...uhhh, but I've never driven it! Was planning on waiting for an F12M, but life too short.

    Talk to Roma. He daily drive his F12. Im surprised to hear that you got an allocation this late. Where are you located?

    Car is great as a daily driver. If you want a smooth easy drive no stress you can have it. If you want a wild ride you can have that. I had a 458 and find the F12 smoother and easier to drive. The sound is intoxicating, the inside is roomy and when you want power its just a second away. It is by far the best of 4 Ferrari's I have owned. One other advantage if you don't like people looking at you all the time not many people know it's a Ferrari. Lot of lookers when I had my 458.

    Best of luck you will not be disappointed.

    In NY tri-state area...I was surprised too. Was told in March or April that the last orders were in and nothing could be ordered. I know of two slots they've been assigned since then. Not sure on build date, but dealer guessing Oct/Nov. Had resigned myself to waiting for an F12M, but was a bit concerned the in house design team might play it safe. Very happy to get a 2017 original and then keep my options open depending on how I like the next one.

    Good to hear the smooth part. Totally agree about the over the top attention of the 458...that's definitely part of the appeal of the F12.

    Question...do you recall how many revs you are turning at about 60 mph?

    Depends on what gear I happen to be in. I can be in second going 60 mph and likely at 5000 rpm and then in 3 rd it drops to under 4000.

    BTW the car rides great in automatic (which I only use to warm up the car) unlike the 458 which really is not made to be in automatic.

    How about in 7th? Always felt the 458 was a bit wired and carrying too many revs at cruising speed.

    There might be a faint glimmer of hope for me yet! I guess I have to make an initial visit to the Orlando dealer. Never owned a Ferrari before, so I am at the bottom of the totem pole. Sigh.

    Agree with clockem. Rapid steering but you get used to it quickly and then steering on other high end cars seems soooo slow. No ride harshness or suspension crashiness at all, unlike my 612 OTO. The F12 is by far the best car I've ever driven and it's honestly a supercar bargain at current prices. I bought mine without ever having driven one. Couldn't be happier.

    Definitely still a shot at it. Not sure that people are lining up at the end of the run, so the totem might not be that high.

    Bargain might be pushing it...but I'm hopeful it will be more of a "keeper" for me. Thanks for the word on the ride.

    Anyone on the revs in top gear at 60 mph?

    I have both the 458 and F12.

    I find the 458 much smoother, both in ride and gearbox, and much easier to drive as a DD.

    That said, I drove the F12 back from Maranello and it was superb. 17 mpg. The sound remains intoxicating, apart from the rattles.

    I could not be without either.

    Having owned a 458 Italia and a Speciale, would you say the F12 sounds better to the driver than 458's?

    Drive mine daily. Even ship it with me on extended holidays. Best exotic I've ever owned. Extremely versatile. Can be a comfortable and practical car when you want it to be. Fast as hell anytime you put the pedal down.

    Around 2500-3000 on 7th, maybe less. Sound-wise the engine seems to be almost idle at that speed.

    Nothing wired in 7th at 60mph on the F12. So much torque that it carries high gears at low speeds with zero issues. Not sure of the RPM at 60 so sorry no help there. About the totem, I'm positive that any allocation for the F12 would be snatched up immediately. The F12M may have 69 more HP but it will be re-penned (or penned-over) by the in-house team so if you are looking for a keeper I personally believe you made an excellent choice with the PF design. Bought mine without driving as well. You will be more than impressed.

    A really nice, highly optioned, almost new F12 can now be purchased for around $300K, plus or minus $20-30K. It sounds and goes like a limited edition hypercar ala LaF, Enzo, and almost a Tdf. It is relatively rare and an instant classic with PF-penned lines reminiscent of a 275 from the 60's. With 730 hp and monster torque from a NA engine, it's still one of the most powerful road cars that Ferrari ever built. I am amazed that you can access this level of greatness at this price. IMHO, no other car at $300K comes close, and you have to pay much more than $300K to get any other supercar that is arguably more desirable.

    Solid State...on the allocations, from what I can tell, a dealer was assigned at least 2 builds for showroom (ie, not a customer order) in past few months. From what I can tell they don't last very long on the floor. You may have to get lucky...right dealer, right time, right customer status...but I'm convinced they haven't dried up. Maybe there's been a change in production priorities since then...maybe something else not getting the orders they expected (total speculation on my part).

    Bundy...agree with you on the used. Unfortunately I'm just going to piss it away and get a new one! In order not to be stupid, I set a price limit of 390 and came in a little under believe it or not.

    On the revs at 60...I should be able to do some math and get to it.

    Does the F12 drive at all like the FF? Because I drove a FF and was very impressed. Loved it!

    Use mine as a daily driver too.

    The range on the car has no equal-- lazy auto commuter to as much performance as anyone could need. The ride is very good with the bump setting on, and the sports modes do what you would expect. The chassis and 12 cylinder combo is a smooth world class GT experience.

    The sound on throttle is the best I've ever heard, but it can be quiet when not being pushed.

    Drivability is good in all but the worst weather.

    Reliability has been perfect with no issues in 8k miles in first 10 months. No rattles, no noises.

    And for the most part, nobody notices the car compared to other fancy cars I've run.

    I couldn't be happier, and look forward to driving it every time I get in.
