A major flaw is having a different driver steward at each meeting. There never going to get consistency.

+1 FIA staff Steward(s) at each race not guests for 1 race.

But Rosberg never locked up, not even close, he turned in when he was almost at a standstill...like he froze up...untill he reached the outside of the turn...

I agree there's somewhat of a grey area concerning Max moving under braking, but he did leave enough space.....

    Very much agree.

A professional world wide racing series can't afford these inconsistency's....

    Well... you called it!

At least you're also right about those German grid girls - very nice looking ladies! :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Peter Windsor's view on the matter', from 5:30 onwards:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CMKThLWLgo

Do not agree on all of his points considering the rest of the race though.

Well it seems Peter Windsor has the same view some here have. This is that he entirely ignores everything happening before apex.

Now I might be repeating myself but imagine the following.
Two cars race towards a hairpin. The leading car hits the brakes. The following car, knowing movement under braking is not permitted knows exactly where the other car is going. Then the following car slams his brakes at the perfect moment to just make the apex.

A moment later the driver in the front car does what he is not permitted to, changes direction and forces the other driver to lift the brakes for a split second to amend direction and avoid contact. Now a split second at that speed translates into meters on track.

Now I do find that everyone blaming Nico is just ignorant of the point that he was robbed of a couple of meters by Max in the braking zone. He did not overshoot the apex by much and he did not have to plan with such a tight approach to the apex before Max got out hand.

Seems to me like people are only debating what he did AFTER the apex, like his failed dive bomb...lol.

Then there was the joke "full lock" radio message lol. Oh Nicole...

Hey, we need another Italian brand to bash for not living up to expectations. What about Lamborghini getting into the fray? They're doing O.K. in some of the other racing venues. Why not them? Wouldn't it be cool to see all those gold chain guys hanging out?

    I can't believe I just suggested that.......

Fchatter Isobel might get offended by your comment. Afterall, Lamborghini HAS racing heritage lol...

You are joking right? My point is that in all likelihood there would have been no after apex situation to debate would Max not have made his not permitted move prior to that.

You argue like you rob a bank. The Police finds you and you tell them, no, you won't return the money. You argue that your entirely arbitrary point of reference is who owns the money the time that suits you. Well, you better hide that cash well ;)

I have no idea what you're babbling about but good on you for convincing yourself ;)

You don't get it. He didn't lock because he didn't steer. IF he did steer, he would've locked. Had max not moved Rosberg would've had the position and almost certainly out dragged him to T8.

    Watch. The. Sky. Slowmo.

    FFS.

And I'm a Verstappen fan, Rosberg's choking has made it really hard to root for him.

errrm...i think most folks have been talking about "full lock" as in a steering wheel being turned to the max in one direction, not "wheel lock" as in the tires locking up...

Another boring F1 race. This is the first one that after watching half of it, I went online to see the finishing order and deleted the dvr recorded race. Sad times indeed. Thanks FIA and F1 Elite. You suck.
