It's not tomorrow, it's this morning. How's NBC painful? I haven't caught one of their NASCAR broadcasts yet. 'Tried yesterday but the delay/postponement threw me for a loop. That wasn't their fault tho'....
Less than 20 laps left with HEAVY fog. Buescher in 1st place, red flag and getting out of the cars on pit road. I am guessing DONE for the day, kind of cool if a low budget team and Buescher actually win
Glad they finally called it, I finally gave up and went to bed. A monday race coverage is much more pleasant. NBC didn't do as horrible as I thought they would, but I think it mostly had to do with not being primetime.
it took them forever to call it. deep down I know nascar was thinking...are we sure we want to call this thing and give this kid a coveted chase spot? maybe we can re-write the rules a bit and see if we can re-start on Tuesday! glad the little guy spoiled it for the rest
I know thinking it was like 115 races ago this team won a race......... SCORE !!!!!!!!!! Almost as good as when Trevor Bayne won the Daytona 500
he's not in the chase because he's not in the top 30 in points; he'd have to get in the top 30, or get a waiver, which we all know he's not going to get.
W..w..wait a minute, Trevor who? Thought the "Chase" rules were that you win your "in"? That has changed? Can NASCAR help itself from changing their "rules" from minute to minute now? Which ever way the wind is blowing now apparently... Jesus, I guess I'm just not smart enough to be a NASCAR follower. BHW
That would be THE BIG ONE lol I made a comment to a good friend a couple years back. Show up at race #1 (Daytona) win and go home ........and stay at home until the chase starts He must have told them what I said. Image Unavailable, Please Login
with the new playoff format you can skip everything from the second race to the last 50 laps at Homestead...
We went over this with Kyle Busch's broken leg incident. Top 30 points, qualify/start every race, and NASCAR reserves a waiver to this, presumibly for injury or medical conditions leaving a driver unfit to make a race. Not that they wouldn't change their rules, they did a few years ago. :\ Enzo, the rules were made specifically to keep a "no name" out of the chase if they won in one of the wild card plate races. They were also made so make sure a big name still gets in pretty much no matter what. The season is a joke, NASCAR looked at the stats, and who they wanted in the chase, and made a chase format that basically guarantees they will all be there. Its just a bunch of fake drama for the talking heads on TV to try to drum up.
This is what everyone I was watching the race with was thinking too. If It'd been Chase Elliot, or Jeff Gordan, it'd of been over a lot faster.
Oh man, that would be the best! Gordon gets into the "Chase" and through some miracle, wins the championship. NASCAR's "rules" are so full of holes it's comical. BHW
not so much full of holes but engineered to help some of the animals who are more equal than others, as tervuren points out.
Imaging the Earnhardt, Jr. Jr. Jr. fans if/when Gordon got himself into the "Chase" and actually pulled off winning the whole deal. This is my new thing, it simply must happen now. BHW
