I 'm also doubting it was a factory option...

Bob Wallace & Paolo Stanzani told me that the plexiglass was melting like an ice cream after driving the Miura for a while... reason why they asked Bertone to modify for a stronger engine bay cap allowing rear vision !

Despite that thought, I'm remembering to have seen in Italy back in 2010 the same transparent louvers on #3396

Very strange indeed! I would love to know more about it since it seems very similar to the other one. Maybe the one who did it worked by batch.

    Hahah nice 3 Seater Miura!

My dad used to drive the Countach with my eldest brother over the gearbox and eldest sister in my mothers lap back when they were 2-4 years old in 1983!

Wheels stolen? Perhaps that's why it has Ferrari wheels on it now.

I was told by someone who I trust knows that the car was parked under an open car port in the garden on jack stands. The wheels had been removed and hidden to chastise the authorities who were to seize the property. The damage under the front clip was caused by them not having the right equipment when they came to remove the car from the car port, sans wheels.

Now, who knows where the wheels/tires are? : )

According to Borzou Sepasi, a friend of mine who is a car historian, #3303 was also confiscated after the revolution and later sold to a guy who bought it in an auction and exported it to Europe. According to him, Shah gave this Miura to a relative as a gift in the early 70's and the second owner sold it later on, just before the revolution.
My friend also confirms that this car is now repainted orange and has lost its chrome fascia and hidden due to the fact that the car was exported illegally.

How many cars were in attendance in total?

My wife counted 25 cars so I think our record from 16 years ago of 27 cars (or was it 28? I forget!) still stands. Either way fantastic to see so many cars.

Congratulations to Paul J for taking delivery of the ex-Briggs Cunningham P400 we sold him.

Congratulations to to Randy G for his new ex-General Motors P400 which we also sold him, unfortunately unable to be at this event.

Jay Leno appears to make a judging note: "Not a real SV!"

How did Adam Carolla's P400S dressed as an SV get accepted to Pebble Beach?

I thought they only accepted real examples of any make or model?

    Just curious.

That I cannot answer, but I will tell you that Adam looked less than happy when Valentino and the other judges walked away.
