Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I was told the doors open normally. nor LaF style, nor Macca, nor Lambo style.

Are you the gentleman responsible for the colors at Ferrari Mr Mann?

Surely not, otherwise his LaF Aperta would be TDF blue, like his LaF, FXX K, 599 XX, 599 GTO, SA Aperta :)

Still stunned about the whole colour rule on this car.

You would think so, considering the history between Zanasi and Ferrari.

Just seems crazy that Ferrari would not want to send the car there in the first place but instead let their customers deal with the respray.

Anyway, cant wai't to see a TDF LaF Aperta.
Do you have any idea when the deliveries will start ?

    Doesn't Ferrari own Zanasi?
If so, that's possibly 10-30 25k (charged 80k) paint job that they are contemplating.
Good to keep the workers busy. There is not such thing as a small profit.

I'm with you on the no small profit thing.
But apparently Ferrari is behind schedule on production, wants the cars out asap, and don't have time to deal with any Tailor Made or customer specific requests...

    Yup, Peter's car.
If you dig a bit around, you'll find many more, including a 333 SP and and older F1 I believe.

Older? The F2008 is the last of the truly great F1 cars!! Never describe it as "older"!!!!

That is a very difficult question to answer. Perhaps the 333SP. It is still absolutely stunning. It remains the most successful purpose-built Ferrari racing car of all time. It has a screaming V12 and it is a simple joy to drive. And it won 4 world titles as well as every blue rib and endurance race except Le Mans outright (it won its class there).

Then again, and completely by accident, I found my first ever Ferrari for sale the other day. A 328 GTS, that I had sold 26 years ago. The car had only ever had one owner after me and in those 26 years had only covered 13,000 kms. It is now back in my possession. So where my story began....

Well, older as almost a decade old. Doesn't take anything away from the greatness of the car, and surely I didn't mean to use the word "old" in a bad way :)

Peter it is always wonderful to meet an old friend again, of whom you are familar with every little detail. Now was the 328 GTS where the blue Ferrari idea started or was it the more typical Rosso Corsa paint at that time?

    Agree with you.

And YES, a TDF LaF Aperta will be epic.
