Correct toolkit??

The answer is: NO IT ISN'T CORRECT FOR an 1982 GTSi, and furthermore it is uncomplete.

It is a hotch-potch for which the basis is a 1985 to 1986 QV or 328 tool roll, that can be identified from:
- the dark red brown translucent handle screwdrivers WITH white "Ferrari" marking, that appeared in, or about, 1984. BUT ONE SCREWDRIWER IS MISSING and these are very difficult and expensive to find...
- Chrom Vanadium Kravm wrenches (spanners) again typical of late QV and 328 tool rolls, but we cannot see if the 14 is really a combination wrench as it should be, or the 14/15 from the Testarossa tool rolls instead.
- Thick orange plastic sheath on the plier's handles, marked "Ferrari" in white; black/dark gunmetal beak: once more typical of late QVs and 328 tool rolls.
- Oddly the spark plug wrench seem to be of 1970 vintage, and would be correct for carbed cars.
- the tool roll itself is of the "large pliers Pocket" type, again typical of late QVs and 328, not the "two smaller pockets type" of the earlier injected cars

It wouldn't do for a 1982 GTSi; for a late QV and/or a 328, it is correct provided that the missing screwdriver could be located and bought, the 14 wrench could be confirmed as a combination wrench, and the correct spark plug tool could be found and bought.

This kit is more appropriate for your 82 GTSi that's currently available on eBay. Too bad it's missing one of the rarest Polytools wrench, the type without the parallelograms.

And - not to nitpick - again we note that it is advertised as a "308 - 328" tool roll; it is correct indeed for a 308, but certainly would not be correct for a 328, and at that price it would hurt to discover this...

At some point Ferrari issued a generic kit for our cars....possibly one of those!??

The modern pliers, shiny wrenches and Ferrari logo handle screwdrivers all point to that??
The UK dealer sold them for about $375USD at the time.....

 

Sorry, I do not have a correct toolkit for your 308 GTSi, but I have the following (all correct and original):
- jack kit
- targa roof cover
- spare wheel holder (the bolt)
- battery cover (the black cover, which is under the spare wheel)
- emergency light kit (plugs in under your dash)

I have advertised this before, but can send pics if you like.

That sounds right to me Tex although the spark plug wrench is a bit of a mystery.

Ferrari became particularly bad about mismatched tools in its replacement tool kits in the past several years.

 

No, sorry Alan, but the tool roll as posted by the O.P in the first post is definitively a late QV / 328 tool roll:
- it has the spark plug tool pocket in the roll, whereas the generic kit does not; so the tool roll itself is "100% sure" late QV / 328.
- the screwdrivers are the exact match for late QV / 328 (dark red translucent handles with white "Ferrari" script) but one is missing (one of the large ones)
- wrenches are the exact, correct "Kravm" serie for late QVs and 328; most rolls have this shiny type, although a few have the "dull chrom" type. Pity we cannot see if the "14" is indeed a combination wrench as it should be, or a 14/15 open ended which would indicate a serie coming from the Testarossa tool roll.
- pliers are 100% correct for late QVs and 328.
- the spark plug tool is not, this one is an oddity here. There should be one of course, but the one that works with the 14mm combination wrench.

Can anyone post a photo of the correct tool kit for a 1988.5 328 so we can compare our tool kits to see if they are correct.
