F12 vs RWD, straight-piped Murci. Its potentially a little depressing for the f12 considering the difference in timeline and tech and power.

Is it depressing? Straight line tests are not that cool.

What about on the twisties? What about on vacation? What about to work every day?

Did I miss the part where the Merc won?

    F12 did.

Considering the difference in power between the two and the transmission, the murci was probably about 1-2 car lengths behind and 1mph off the f12. So personally as a fan, I'd say that yes, that is potentially depressing as the nigh decade old car was nearly as fast in a straight line as a current car with at least 50hp more.

The F12 didn't seem to launch hard either.

    That Murcielago sounds amazing.

I really can't stand the look of lambo's...the wedge is getting dated if you ask me.

Same here. The styling of modern Lambos does nothing for me.

I was at this event (1/2mi races Coalinga airport) nearly 6mo ago. Met and spoke to both owners, probably have vid clips on various races of both cars on my I phone. Not sure what tune or mods were done to the Murchi, but bar none it was the best sounding Murchi I've heard to this date.
As for the owner of the F12, very chill, older guy, he was there to have fun, get as many runs as possible. He didn't launch hard didn't matter if it was 911TTS, Mac, or Aventardor, in fact F12 pretty much caught up with most at mid track in short of heavily modded turbo cars.
Depressing for the F12 owner? I doubt that.
It’s more fun giving lead way and chase them down.

A modified car is not 10 years old. It's an ugly car, and not cool as a GT. The F12 driver was not really launching.

    You can have it :)

do not really care which car was faster. I do think that Murci looks and sounds awesome though and imo has aged really well - shame Ferrari does not build "normal" rear-mid V12s anymore

The F12 got a terrible bogged start, drove around the modified Murci and won by a bus length. Plus it was driven by some old guy who knows what settings he had it in.

    Disappointing? Lol what?

As I posted earlier, I was at this event assisting my friend with a 76 Trans am. The vid posted by the OP is very deceptive , as nice as that Muchi was, most races between them weren't even close. Don't believe everything you see on a eddtied vid clip.
F12 was running consistent 159/159.5/160mph entire day, even 458s were trapping 156-158mph.

I for one love them, especially the Murcielago. Aventador as a ''been there, done that'' but the Murcielago is one one that makes me a bit weak at the knees. 640 or SV with a manual, please and thank you.

I adore the F12 too, but I'd take the older, slower, ancient looking Murcielago over it.

When the Original Murcielago just came out I saw one during a track day at Zandvoort...Spitting flames, beautiful manual gearbox. It ticks all the boxes for me and still does.

+1..........plus I had an LP 640 and it was a crazy bronco to drive. My F12 is a car that I can enjoy so much more and on all occasions and roads. The Murci was a short distance car as its driving position and its seats were nowhere as comfortable as the F12. Having both, I would never go back to the Lambo unless it is for a new SV.

458s were that close to the F12 in trap speed? That's weird

There were Speciales , modded 458s, yes saw a range of 156-158mph. Again the F12 wasn't trying hard off the line, full traction mode, in auto, easy launches. Having said that the f12 put a good amount of distance on the Murchi, not 1-2 cars as the Bayarearacing vid.

Took me some time to go through my I phone, but I found it , bull stops here.
    You guys be the judge

lambo sounds sick, this isn't depressing at all. The f12 did not launch hard at all and still won. If the f12 launched like the lambo, it would have won by a lot more.
