McLaren 688 High Sport

McLaren is bringing yet another Special Edition version of the 675 LT which was the Special Edition version of the 650S which was a revised 12C!! Only 25 Units to roll out of the factory and they are already sold. Only previous MSO customers can buy this!

I love the 675 but that does not do it for me....maybe it's the color scheme but way to busy

McLaren knows how to trash their customers - imagine if Ferrari did this, would eviscerate the positive "feeling" of the overlying brand. Still cannot believe the way they handled the transition from the 12c to the 650. am surprised there is any loyalty towards McLaren out there.

 

They talked about this car several months ago.
Expect the spyder version. And another prior to the P14.

Never ends with Mclaren.

Can't see how the 488 keeps up as it's slower. But more rewarding.

 

Ferrari already does this. They just do it slightly different. Some examples are.
More cars than claimed.
The LaF, then LaF Spider, then even more LaF Spiders.
The TdF just came out, you think the F12"M" will be slower? I doubt it.

 

In the next recession, getting a pristine 675lt spyder for half price is going to be nice though

It looks like the simply took fellow F Chatter rmitchell248's 675 spec and added a wing. I hope they are paying him for creating it. Lol.

 

And a 458 SA and a P1.

Might take another 2008 Depression for the latter.

 

Then they might sell full Carbon version of the Coupe and the Spider as well and we will see 100 units of 688 HS.

 

I find this a joke, McLaren goes through models like its water. At least Ferrari stay true to making the special models stay special. Does this car look great, yes, but if I just bought an LT and saw this, I would be like "are you serious?"

 

Yes. Ferrari commits to a specific process of releases and McLaren are just random.

He knows a thing or two about Mclaren since he owns an F1 GTR and a P1 GTR.

The story is old, but it is definitely not incorrect!

 

They made 25 of them for select MSO clients. If you spent enough money with MSO, you might have been enable to get one.
