    Yes on the schnitzel.
Haven't tasted the Hungarian variety yet (in 2 days I may). The German one I tried had pasta and red cabbage sauerkraut. The Viennese had potatoes.

Flat iron steak, marinated in some cumin, oregano, garlic powder, and a little oil to hold it together for about an hour. Dried it off and seared the hell out of it in a cast iron. Once the steak was done, took it out to rest and threw some fresh diced peaches, red onion, corn straight off the cob, and a chili pepper into the same pan till the corn charred and everything else mellowed out. On to the plate after slicing and topped with a little fresh parsley (wife hates cilantro...)

True 1 pan meal that took about 1hr and 10 min, if you include the time to marinate. Credit for the basic idea to SeriousEats.com.

Thanks! Oh, and the best part is that a flat iron steak is all of like $7/lb at Whole Foods. Kinda flank-esque - don't usually get it but nothing else looked great yesterday and the butcher talked me into it.

Flat iron is an underappreciated cut. Kroger has also been running a special on them for past few weeks. And, your cooking method is the ideal one. That looks great...T

Nice. I really like lamb. An almost too cute to eat animal. But like veal too tasty not to eat!

Did local airshow and on the way home had fish and chips with the parents.

Thanks. Technically it was salmon pouches. :D

3 pouches of seasoned salmon (2 sweet and spicy, 1 lemon pepper), panko, no eggs so I used mustard, cayenne powder, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, pepper, celery salt, and for some reason I added some mexicsn grated cheese

It really doesn't take much. I keep mine in a drawer alongside all of my mixer and food processor attachments. That drawer has also become a stockpile of fortune cookies. :D

Thanks, that dainty scallop left a bit to be desired but the rest wasn't too bad!
