Also, what is most miles put on in year? I'm sure I do not have the highest mileage 458 as I only have 14,848 miles on my car. However........ I have only had the car for 11 months and I bought it with 5,000 miles on it and I was on vacation for a month that I could not drive it, and last but not least it has never left the city so no long trips to pile on mileage. Basically 10,000 city miles in 10 months for the most part. My Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab Only 2 worth mentioning.......
impressive driving. on several threads on this site I have seen the word poser apply to Lamborghini owners and owners of F cars that hold them for less than a year, put less than a thousand or two miles on them then flip them. You are definitely the ANTI-Poser. I thought I was getting good use out of my spider averaging about 600mi/month.......
There is a 2010 458 for sale in France with 89,000 km. That is 55,000 miles. Asking price is 120,000 which is roughly 130,000 US$. Regards, CF
I took the keys to my 2013 Italia on August 1, 2012. When I brought her in for the Year 4 maintenance a few weeks ago, she had 37,500 miles. 1000 of those miles are on track (mostly COTA). She still runs like a top and is the source of great happiness for me. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome car jazztrip!! Nice to hear it's driven!! My 2014 Spider got to me with 1500 miles after 20 mos of mostly garage air. That was 94 days ago. I'm now up to 5,672, and planning to take it Notre Dame for the opening home game next month, that will add 1,700 miles RT. Just a lot of fun to drive, but I've got a ways to go to catch your number. Jim
Great to hear you are living the dream and driving the car! I think the 458 is the most reliable model to date. (488 owners need to chime in once they have driven some miles, like 30K. Of course I am biased to the 458. I've driven mine 63,000 miles over 2 and 3/4 years.
Impressive!!! Especially when you are willing to park it amongst swarms of drinking college kids! We need a pic of that! Go ND!! My Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab Only 2 worth mentioning.......
Ha! No way....not on campus or in the lots on game day! I have a house a block from main entrance to ND that I use during football season. The 458 will be garaged when I leave for campus. (If you ever want to attend a game, reach out, you can stay at my place.) Jim
Yeah figured as much. Park it with all the drunk kids like a real fan would! Ha Ha! That's awesome!! I used to pretend I was Coley O'brien when I was a little kid. My Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab Only 2 worth mentioning.......
15,275. I put 11,000 of those miles on in the past 7 months. Mostly highway. I expect to put over 100K miles on this car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
it will be interesting. all things being equal.. more moving parts means more things to go wrong. Engines and turbos have a lifespan. 4.5 liter engine making 570hp and 400 ft/lbs of torque 3.9 liter engine making 670hp and 560 ft/lbs of torque you tell me which piston is under more stress. Now i'm not sure what materials the internals of the 488 are made of. how much the clutch/transmission is rated to hold. I would hope they are stronger than the 458's.
Wow! Coley O'Brien, that's going back a "few" years, IIRC he was mid-late '60's, played QB and then RB??? (I was probably around 10 or 12 at the time) Jim
2014 purchased with about 200 miles - about to hit 15,000 over ~2 years. Love it. Has anyone changed their gear / transmission oil sooner than Ferrari recommends? I'm thinking of doing mine, as shifts have been slightly less smooth as of late.
Nice!!!!! What year? My Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab Only 2 worth mentioning.......
