My California T is gone and replaced by an '09 612 OTO.

My god do I love this car. I have loved this car since I've laid eyes on it years ago. Oddly I drove one before I bought my first '10 Cali and I did not like the ride comparatively. From that Cali I went to the new Cali, but something wasn't right, I was feeling short changed. I loved my Cali but something was missing, oh and the kids were complaining, lol. Anyway after taking the Cali fervor to the max with a spec'd out new car I am free to move on to a true modern classic and bask in all it's reverence. This car actually was bought and sold a few times and I even saw it in my town last year. I will miss the state of the art equip and drop top , but I am feeling complete and whole right now an that's all that matters. Super excited and pleased. Just now need to stop worrying about glass roof.

    :)

Thanks for the Monroney. One I did not have. She is one of 29 2009 612 OTOs imported to the US, according to NHTSA. Pretty rare.

Congrats and I wish you good luck with the car.

Just two weeks ago I saw a near identical one at Tutto Italiano at Larz Andersen Park. I was told it was headed to FNE to be sold.

Beautiful spec! Congratulations, Al. Which Grigio is that? Would love to see interior pics.

    Very nice. Congrats.

Moving from a V8 with wet sump to a traditional V12 with dry sump is definitely an upgrade.

    Enjoy.

OTO cars signified Ferrari's One to One program where a purchaser could sit down at Ferrari's New York showroom or at the Factory in Italy and special order his car to his exact specifications with personal assistance via Ferrari's Atelier program. OTO cars featured Ferrari's revised 599 dual plate clutch Superfast transmission (2 years before the 599 received it), glass electrochromic roof, steering wheel Mannetino, 20" Challenge wheels and sporty exhaust, Carbon Ceramic brakes etc.

Gorgeous spec. Sometimes I think the 612 is completely outdated but than you see one in a great spec and realise the timelessness of the car. There won't be another 2+2 like it that has such elegant hark backs to a bygone era.

    What colour is it?

I saw a plain spec early car in Rosso Corsa coming down the road at me recently and it just looked incredible out in the wild-amazing presence.

Sounds like you not only made an investment in your FCar, but also in your enjoyment. This is the purpose of Ferrari! You purchased a classic front engined 12 cylinder which will be an appreciating hot air balloon and you now also have that pride of owning what most consider a proper FCar.

It is a neat feeling. It will Last. You are a stud. Hahaahh

Alcav5 -- beautiful 612 -- I engaged Miller in negotiations for that car, but fell short of my target for my FF; instead purchased the OTO next in build order, 165638, being sold by Continental. Daytona Nero with beige diamond interior, same wheels. The elegance of the 612 is undeniable. congratulations!

Thank you everyone for the kind words...

I believe the exterior is Grigio Ferro (a classic color) . I will check later and shoot some pics of the interior.

I drove this car yesterday almost 200 miles and I am Pleased! It's a different smile than what I would have with a California drive.

I was thinking about that one at Continental too. I had been considering this change for some time now, inventory is limited, so it wasn't hard knowing each and everyone out there.
    Congrats to you too!

Do you need the OEM Schedoni Luggage?

Hmm, I wonder if the orig buyer ordered those?
I can't figure out what this option is:
    Leather luggage carpets for $9781.00,
or what makes up the additional $22,483 in options ( I was told the paint was worth ~$13K)

Does the OEM Luggage match my interior?

Beautiful photos. No wonder I love the color. Same as my F12, although I thought your 612 OTO was a lighter grigio based on the pics.

Congratulations again. A perfect, timeless spec for an elegant Ferrari GT.

Leather luggage carpets is a leather lined trunk/boot. Very luxurious for your luggage. The pocket is the space behind the rear seats called leather rear shelf in earlier Ferraris.

    Beautiful OTO.

As Taz explained, your leather lined trunk was a rarely specified option. Your car is the only other one I've personally come across that has it besides my former 2009 car.

Grigio Ferro is a paint upgrade. It's done by Carrozzeria Zanasi instead of the factory (although I don't know for certain if that was the case during 612 production). For the 488 GTB, the additional charge for some of the triple layer paints is closer to $30K based on my 488 EC price list (pic below). Maybe, GF was a less expensive option back in the 612 days?
