My son tells me that by comparison the Auctions America (lot no. 2071, KLA12470 with 3,200 miles/5,300 km) did better at $265k high bid, so far.

$265k high bid was real money. Gas Monkey car taking account work needed.

Having watched that drama queen show Gas Monkey Garage why would anyone expect a Lamborghini or the F40 they "massaged" to flip would be great cars? I should think a substantial discount would be in order and low milage alone is a suckers bet unless it's just going to be a trailer queen being shown as an uber original example.

I happened to be in town on Thursday so I stopped by the auction to get my eyes on what was there. Unfortunately the Anni was one of the cars that hadn't shown up yet, so I didn't get any sense of condition.

Anyone else get to inspect it?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that what was said was that the Auctions America Anniversary Countach 12470 sold at $291,000. The gas monkey Countach did not sell and reached $180,000 high bid.

Is it me or does anyone else remember 12470 being up for sale for a long time.

Mine sold post sale on Sunday afternoon at Mecum. My 89 Countach netted me $295. I do not know what fees where charged to the buyer, so I so not know the all in sale price. I do know that they worked with him on the fees, so it was not a full 10% buyers fee. There were no fees to me, other then the original entry fee of $750.00

I was happy with the result.

Chris, I think this was the red/tan car that has been modified by Nastasi with all the USA DOT appendages.
