When I test drove my (new to me) 360 a few months ago, it was 98 degrees out, so when I thought I was testing the heat, it may have just been blowing hot air. Sooooo....

Last night there was a slight chill, so my partner in crime asked if we could turn the heat on a little. The "STOP" button was pushed in, and according to the manual, the heat still works at this setting....we tried everything, from auto to manual selection of temps all the way to "HI" and got nothing but cool air.

We released the "STOP" button (button out) and still got cool air, but didn't mess with the temps as much. I will need to play with it more on my next outing.

In researching this issue a little on FChat, it seems that despite what the manual says, the "STOP" button pushed in turns off ALL environmental controls, allowing only "outside" air. With the "STOP" button released (out), both the A/C AND heat are on at that point.

I this the overall consensus ? Thanks......

Thanks, Eric..... So despite what the manual says, the heat will only work when the A/C is also "on" .....got it !

Beautiful color on your 360, mine is also Grigio.....

430 Not correct and the 360 should be the same. If you press the stop button the air coming out will be mixed with wherever the control button was at. Except no AC and no blower. It's a bit odd but:

    Button not engaged: control on
Turn heat on to 78, engage the "off" button
You should find that the heat remains but only while moving, no fan, but at 40+ mph some air is still forced through the system and some heat comes out.

Alternately if you set temp to "low". And do the same, you will find some air coming through at speed but this time it's the same as outside air - unheated.

To completely close all air flow, you need to set the unit to vents only, then push "off" and the close the vents. Italian funky.

I would not want to drive this car through a radiation contaminated zone, it's not the best sealed air system.

Somebody stole my car... except for the wheels. How did you do that?

Gorgeous ride man! It's like my car's ragtop twin! Clearly you have excellent taste :)

Thank you, Eric.... I would like to get some challenge wheels at some point....got any pics, Jim ?

Gonna drive the car tomorrow, this may be beating a dead horse (no pun intended) at this point, but if the stop button is off (no a/c) are you guys able to heat the ambient air as it comes through the vents while the car is moving ? Last night the air through through the vents was cool no matter where I set the temp contol. Tomorrow I'll test the heater operation, with the a/c on....

In my 360, the AC only works with the STOP button out. My understanding is that the heater will only work with it "out" also...the fan is controlled by the dial and the "fan" icon is the position which turns off fan, not "aut".

The temp is controlled by the temp wheel obviously so this is what must control whether the AC or Heater is activated.

Regarding the challenge wheels on a 360, they are the best looking hands down, with the 430 rims a close second. Have fun in the search!

Stop button out, everything works. Stop button in, nothing works, but a little ambient air is forced through the system. Weird system, very counter intuitive. 🙃

Thanks for the replies...what threw me off was rmarchjr's
reply. My boring everyday car will do that, heat up the ambient air that flows into the car even with the heat off but the temp selector on a hotter temp than the outside air. But the mighty 360 was only blowing cool air, even when the hottest temp was selected (while everything was selected off).
    Consider that horse beaten....thanks again...
