Is 64000 km one of the highest mileage you know of joe, surely there are some over 100k? How do the engines fair on higher mileage obviously lots of variants including long standing periods but as a whole are they strong engines. ?
I like his Instagram account and he seems to be more of the inspiring take and not too obnoxiously flashy as the other "collectors" out there on social media world. Great guy hope he enjoys them in good health.
I believe they are strong engines, and I have posted an image of a car with over 100,000 km on the clock earlier in the thread. I know of a USA-based car with over 80,000 km on the clock.

The GTO used in the TTR videos is ZFFPA16B000056339, UK-registered B 165 FNO, as seen here on a European Tour with other TTR Ferrari Supercars. You'll note, 56339 is fitted with stainless steel (reproduction large-diameter) Megaphonos, whereas 55687 still has its original-spec standard exhaust. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Joe - can you please explain why some GTO's have wider, flaired exhaust pipes and others have the narrower version? Were the "megaphone" pipes you reference above am aftermarket enhancement that many did, or were they a factory option? Thanks.

The two-tipped Megaphone shaped exhausts are simply sports or open exhaust without the muffler of the standard four-tipped exhaust units. The original 'Megaphone' units were made by Ansa in mild-steel and here below is an example of the configuration of the tips and extrusion. I think they make the car more torquey and cause it to come on the boost a little quicker, they also provide following motorists with a glorious flame-throwing display. I don't think they were a factory "option" in the traditional sense, but they factory did recommend them and some cars were delivered with them already affixed. One more question about the megaphone pipes - which exhaust is considered "pure stick" from the factory? Can a car with megaphones earn Claissiche certification? Will megaphones earn deductions at Cavalino, for example?
