Yeah well it didn't so much cool off here today either. Currently perfectly sunny 81 which is cooler than last week's 90+ degree days, but not near as cool as they predicted. I'm ok with 81 and sunny though. :)

Good news is I was able to finally speak to someone at Amazon about my lost packages and they said that since they were both sold and fulfilled by Amazon (not a 3rd party seller) they will file the report first thing in the morning and ship out replacements same or next day. Some rule about having to wait until so long after the claimed delivery otherwise she would have filed it today. So, if all goes well and this one doesn't disappear I should have my Anova by the end of this week.

We'll see how it all goes. I did get the other package of car parts I was expecting yesterday while I was over at Dad's for dinner and it was still there when I got home. Maybe the UPS driver dropped the missing packages at the wrong address and they weren't really stolen from my house? Who knows!?!? I filed a claim with them too so maybe they'll find the packages?

^ Good news on the circulator. Can't wait to see what you cook up with it.

Grilled pizza. Premade dough. Mozz. Tomato sauce. Garlic powder. Black pepper. Easy peasy lemon squeezie. 😀 Grill the dough I the gasser, 1 min per side. Add toppings. Cook 8 minutes further.

Looks great, Tom! Blue Apron type meal tonight. Blue cheese and green onion crusted bone-in chop with some veggies. Very impressed.

Aha. So they ship ingredients, not prepackaged meals? Cool idea. Like having your own sous chef...T

Exactly. You still prep everything, they just send the goods.

Mix up equal parts spice around 2 TSP of Ancho Chili powder, ground coriander, ground cumin, and 1/3 part ground clove- amounts can vary based on your spice tolerance.. And salt to taste

Add to red wine vinegar in a pan and simmer for 10 min... I just use the whole bottle of vinegar..

Add a little honey and dijon mustard and pureed chipotle peppers after you are done simmering..

Once it's cooled, use it as a marinade bath for the wings and smoke them for 3 hours at 225 - about halfway through, open the smoker and take the wings out and dunk them back in the bath one more time to get more sauce on them..

This is good for about 18 wings..

^ So, no finishing off at high temps to get that color? That's all from the ancho, chipotle, etc?

Didn't change temp at all.. and at the low 225 degrees, they almost fall apart when you eat them... which is nice because you can eat them with a fork and knife if you want to keep your hands clean..Even though that's no fun !:)

I know, right? Even if you rotate it 90 in the phone gallery first it doesn't work. It's bizarre.

For a grill, depending on size, you can try a two-zone fire (all the briquets on one side) and then cook indirectly. If you have a gasser, follow the lead of Rob Rainford, he's a Canadian dude (License to Grill) who did all his work on a gasser. He used soaked wood chips in a tin foil pouch, which he then poked holes in with a fork...T

Finished steaks. Came out closer to medium. ☹️ Wife's happy. My grill marks are getting better. Served with corn on the cob, side salad with homemade peach vinaigrette, and wine.
