    Ha! :D

At first I thought you were drifting! ;) but I guess you were just turning in from the side. Old school high and narrow tires give you excellent feel, I drove my first car, a Series 1 E-type Jaguar 4.2L 2+2 quite a lot sideways, but never a GTE. And the 456 GT does not seem to turn sideways easily, perhaps due to some good development?!? :)

    Cheers,

    Pekka T.

Notes on the service vehicle, if you live some where the gaps are narrow and the surfaces appalling , like a small Italian mountian village or central London, a Panda 4x4 is King.

Notes on the map, even in this digital age, there is nothing like spreading a map out on a table and planning a route.

Looks good. Who is driving the service vehicle? Are you driving the Maranello and the wife the Panda...😉?

Agree on both counts. The Panda is a great little thing and the current model is even a five-seater.

Martin, after, hopefully, slipping through Calais we go to Beaune, Porto Fino. Monte Argentario, Maranello, Lake Como, back through Switzerland, Northern Vosges and home. 2 weeks starting tomorrow evening. Very excited !

Good pic by the way !

You probably already have a detailed route in mind but here's a suggestion...

Heading South on the E5 (beyond Troyes) you can turn off and run the last 100 miles or so on some wonderful D-roads starting with the Haute Marne D396 which quickly turns into the Cote D'Or D996 taking you down to Dijon and from there, the D974 takes you down to Beaune.

I've done some of this in my Boxster but will look forward to another opportunity do it again in something with the correct number of cylinders.

Beaune - Portofino : via the Alps montains (Mont Blanc tunnel or Frejus tunnel) or via the French Riviera motorway ???

    Have a nice trip ;)

Graham – If you want I can guide you through some nice roads when you cross Switzerland. Just let me know where you will cross the border and where you want to leave Switzerland.

If you want (and if I can arrange the date) we can drive some roads together. Maybe some friends from our Swiss Ferrari Drivers Club will join too.

    Feel free to PM me.

Back to “Let's see your favourite 456/550/575 Photo...”.

Some months back a friend of mine let me drive his Tesla model S (yes the one with full power). It was really impressive!

Past Saturday it was my turn and I let him drive my 512 TR and my 575M. He is an architect and took his camera with him. I am really impressed by the pics he made of my 575M. I guess he knows how to put things into perspective…
