    Hi Guys,

I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I tackled (and succeeded) fixing my driver side window assembly. I started doing the passenger side today and of course, the passenger side is nothing like the driver side!!! If I had started with the passenger side, I would have given up. But now, I'm in and I need help. Please refer to the attached pictures.

First pic: This is what I need to disassemble. I need to remove the cable from the spool.
Second pic: The other side. When I insert a screw driver into the central shaft, I feel a springy resistance. Don't know if I should push through this to try to pop the other side off.
Third pic: All the passenger side parts.
    Fourth pic: Driver side parts.

My original thread was here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/459862-i-did.html

I need to open up the back of the spool so I can remove the cable. How do I achieve this goal?

    Thanks for any advice,

    Manny

Looks like if you compress the shaft it will push out the other side.....

The disc needs to come off, there is a keeper that keeps it in place. Very important not to lose the keeper. To get it back on you have to compress the disc a bit to reinstall the keeper. The keeper is two parts with one piece fitting inside the other

    Hi Jon,

Is there an exploded diagram of what you are describing?

There is not an exploded drawing, but see the photo.

    Hi Jon,

I got that far. Do I pry this cover off? I couldn't get anything under the lip. And as I pointed out, if I insert a screwdriver into the back side of the spool, there seems to be a springy diaphragm inside. Do I push through the diaphragm?

The cover comes off. Slip a razor blade underneath. I guarantee you it comes off!
