^^^^^this is what I thought MIGHT get him off....if the jury thought "why would he do this? He had no hope of getting away with it"

Sandro's story was just so unrealistic that it simply wasn't possible to acquit, imo.

You left out the bit about financial phycopath.

Rationalises much in his head but COMPLETELY removed from reality

He just didn't know the difference or if he did he just chose to steal.

Ponzi scheme in his head, the next and next deal would fix everything.

Well, you know him better than me....I actually don't know the guy at all.

He made a very good witness until he was asked to explain why Kudelka was trying to sell the 250 a year after it was already sold by Sandro....then nothing made sense any more.

Wonder what the trigger for all this was ?

He appeared to have a viable business for some time, all gone now, along with his reputation, most likley freedom, house and other peoples cars and money.

More importantly this case has also exposed the risk of leaving your car in storage under someone else's control. A car can be sold and shipped overseas in a matter of weeks, before you even know about it.
And if the seller is a business or has no assets then it's a big problem to get your money back.
Your insurance might pay if it's proven the car was stolen, but you can see from this case how much it took to prove the car was actually stolen.

Business may not have been as good as it once was. That was my first thoughts.

That or he got bored. The 'thrill of it' may have been the driving force behind it all.

doesn't explain most of the deals he did pre Bentleigh

only outright greed and dishonesty can explain that

''He appeared to have a viable business for some time''

Michael all looked good but propped up by stolen money.

lol don't think the tool roll would be an issue. i think daytonaman would prefer his car back together. probably like the owners of the other couple of daytonas pulled apart and distributed around the globe as spare parts.

of course you could have sold him 450 tool rolls, I dunno!

my mate lost a set of 360 wheels and tyres and told me the story of the v12s, three missing I think, is that right? he was angry at first but when the **** hit the fan considered himself extremely lucky!
