My MFH 917K came in this week. I bought it from Peter (ScaleAutoArt). I have a couple of Revell 1/12 kits that I have detailed, but this is a whole other world. Very exciting and intimidating at the same time.

Tons of white metal, which is where I lack experience. I think I will be buying a magnetic polisher for this kit. I doubt this will be my last MFH kit, I have my eye on a few.

I also have the Fein Design 1/12 Ford GT40 engine kit, which is equally as detailed.

I am currently working on a 1/20 Lotus 79 Martini Version with the E.Jan (Hiro) conversion kit. It has a good amount of metal parts for me to work on

I see problems with your example as well ;) Nobody is perfect. I think you need to wait and see a built example [which I am planning to do soon] and then judge. Photos of a mock up can be deceiving.

    Some minor comments:

Wind screen is a tad tall...easily fixed
Exhaust is a little "fat" at the mid section and needs to be tucked in a little...easily fixed

Body Profile photos look better then the mock up...which tends to throw one off with all of the white surfaces.

I don't see any major problems yet.

Enjoy the build. Let me know how the polisher works out, I still need to consider the advantages.

Photos (and their angle or lens) can also be misleading

One more post on the Hiro 1/12th 315/335S's.... They are now available....

Not that many parts...Should be simple to build.....:) Only around 300 parts plus a little over 125 photoetch parts.

Oh, forgot about the wire wheels...:(

I have kits arriving later this week...looking forward to doing a quick "mock up" to try and bring more light to the stated "issues" ;)

If built with more finesse then the photo I imagine it could be a nice project to consider. Would be even better with all opening panels...hmmm.

Well I have the Hiro 315/335 chassis #0674 now. I think the body looks great from the front and side. Hard to tell 100% about the rear. Those cut outs make it look strange. Also the top rear view looks like it tapers in to much, but I might be wrong . Will post more real car photos to compare. Overall very very nice kit!! When this one sells out grown men will be begging for one.

Personally I think it all looks pretty spot on. Ride height needs to be set better and the front wheel will sit more forward but in the flesh I see no issue here. This is going into prep, primers and red paint right away now that I have test fit the critical chassis parts. The "bonnet" will require some additional shaping and trimming as will the boot lid. The rest of the parts like the rear side vents fit perfectly.

I will be happy to start a build thread if there is enough interest. Not sure if it violates any rules.

This will be the #7 Le Mans car [on spec] and one will be converted to a road going version in black with tan leather interior at clients request.
