Smyrna, i realize $500 is pocket change for you lets make it $2500 to be fair?
Awesome, see you there. This year you won't be chasing me in your F12 I see, hopefully I won't be in everyone's way this year, I'll be in something a little quicker.
yeah; couldn't keep up in the canyons with the f12. Bringing something more suitable this time around. See you tomorrow.
Nice wrap!!! I am not doing the rally this year- but I'll be doing the next drive in South Bay on Oct 2nd. Do you plan on doing that drive? I've been with the club now 3 years and many drives, especially South Bay, so I'm sure we've probably already met before. As for the treatment of the OP, he himself admitted he is a trolling. So not sure what is there not to 'dig' in terms of responses?
So then was i right ? Trust fund kid ? Lotto winner ? If not then please explain how you can be successful and so immature ?
I've shown up once for the south bay drive. Problem is that the round trip distance from starting point is greater then the actual rally - Regarding the original poster. I go to enough exotic car events, etc. that I'm in tune with the next generation buyer such as the original poster. They have grown up watching fast and furious, need for speed, watch all the youtube tracking videos, and play Forza and Gran Turismo. Straight line speed and going around a track are very, very important to the next generation of exotic car buyers. (it is quite important to me too and several other owners of exotic cars). Maybe he posted in the incorrect forum and came in too strong but I can say that I was definitely disappointed in my f12 performance at shift sector. I definitely thought it would have done a lot better then what it did (this was confirmed by a different f12 at a subsequent event).
thanks, just noticed it too. I think i shot myself in the foot by posting it, i was waiting for the pot $ to grow to a decent size. oh well
I am hoping someone will bring out a 488 at the next event. 991tt boys think they have the exotics bracket on lock. I think the 488 with a few tweaks can be competitive.
LoL. Troll is buying a Prius, NOT a Tesla. His parents won't co-sign the note. Sent by itsy bitsy electrons
For sure you've given folks a pause. But a 911 Carerra is not a 911T. Also the card does not show a 458. You insure through progressive. So it's easy enough to login and print out your 'other' insurance cards that have the 911TT and 458. I am a man of my word. If you can do the very steps I outlined earlier to a moderator here. I will Paypal you $500. You can understand the need for verification, anybody can print out any thing. My word is definitely worth more to me then my pride. Cheers
I think we may have meet in a Nobay drive, the one drive I remember with an F12 on a drive also had silver 330GT? Where you on that drive? My friend came in his F430 with challenge wheels. re: OP I totally respect and encourage honest and good faith critiques. But all credibility went out the window when he posted this.
04g, Perhaps, I can help you understand. Ferrari and by in large other Italian exotic manufacturers have always lied about one thing or another. Dating back to the 40s Ferrari has been lying or fudging the number of cars produced for one reason or another. Ferrari has gone so far as to lie about the type of car they produced merely to meet racing regulations(more on that in a second) Pagani lied about it's TOP GEAR test track lap, they put slicks on the car, only to claim that they were the tires that would come on the car. Lamborghini wildly overstated the top speed of the Miura, (180mph). The legendary 250GTO is in itself based on a lie, to get the car in the "wrong" class. It was by Ferraris statements merely an evolution of the 250GT SWB which is laughable as they're not even the same chassis evolution much less body etc. Hell, the cars had both even and odd serial numbers, (Vintage racing Ferraris have even serial numbers, normally) again another way of hiding certain things. Does that make it okay? No, but it's part of what makes Ferrari and other Italian car makers unique. You can go into the vintage section and see people arguing about chassis numbers or dates 60-70 years later, and that's part of the fun. There's a mystery, there's more to know. Another thing to keep in mind is that you're talking about US spec Ferraris and the US versions of Ferraris have always been historically slower and heavier than their EURO spec counterparts. I watched a euro spec 488GTB on dyno produce 563 HP at the wheels which when you take a 15% loss into account worked out over to 662 hp at the crank which is more than Ferrari claim. Ferrari builds wonderful cars and with each iteration the cars get "better", but if Ferrari was completely fourth coming, obvious, and always did the same thing, they wouldn't be Ferrari. They would be Porsche and I would hate to see that day.
Well after a certain point of $$$ it does make sense to 'jump' through hoops and institute fraud. I'm ready to put the money where my mouth is. $500 is not that much, but enough to hurt my pride for sure. "GrayTA" has volunteered to be broker for this wager. GrayTA please PM your paypal address. I will send $500 now. GreyTA can verfiy. As agreed you send your $500 to GrayTA and send him the following 1) DL (you should be able to do this now) 2) Registration Cards (at least the car in your garage today) 3) 3 or 1 Photo (doesn't have to be together) of [DL/Reg/print out of this post] in front of your Gallardo, your 911 Turbo, and Ferrari 458 4) Mods can verify IP address match address of the region on your license. The registered owners would match the DL. I know you said your cars are spread all over the country, so I'll give you 1 month...heck take a picture of your DL and have a friend/family member take a picture of at Monte Carlo (or wherever your cars are stored) So say GrayTA needs to get all this by 10/15/2016. Do you accept? - if so I will PayPal GrayTA today, and you can do the same. P.S. I must insist VINs are not redacted - but GreyTA or a moderator of your choosing will be the only people that will see it.
he can easily go to progressive.com and print out the insurance cards...still won't prove it 100% - but I will shut up and count my blessings he didn't accept my wager Cheers
