Nero Tenebre 1986 Downdraft based in the USA, Nevada-registered AWWESUM, ordered by John Wittrig in 1985 via S. E. A Automobili di Roma, collected at the factory by him and driven out of the gates on EE plates in the summer of 1986.

Over 100,000 kms and 30 years later, John still owns the car.

That's incredible, and it (FLA12878) runs like one should.

I actually have notes of 5 cars over 100,000 kms, not confirmed by me personally, but told to me. Certainly, there must me a fair number more that we are simply unaware of.

 

I had to post this here because the Countach Lunch turned out to be an impromptu Downdraft Reunion!

Given the maintenance they require, especially in the early years, they obviously have the best longevity of the Countach range, in fact, Valentino told me that personally.
