People are asking the moon but they are not selling for these asking prices!
To bad it all in your dreams were in 2016 not 2011 buddy, your still looking to buy a Scud and not pay the price for it lol....
Not to spoil the fun/bromance you two are having here, but ya, honestly I don't see Scud prices dipping under $200k from here, ever, barring an economic event ala 2007-08. The TdF is the first new car that actually harkens back to what now seems like an antiquated Ferrari ethos: Make driving a challenge; punish if overdriven. It's a winner in my book, would love to get one one day. Never driven one before, but driven an F12 and reading feedback from F12 owners and watching that Chris Harris skit, it's clearly night and day between the two. I wanted a 488 too, but backed out on my allocation. Originally, I thought it would be a nice compliment and contrast to my NA Scuderia which I know will always sound and drive that unique way we incessantly talk about. We all know a forced induction could never match that experience irregardless of how much faster the 488 is...and then I saw the McLaren P14 spyshots (650S replacement), my money will be going there instead. Figured if I'm going forced induction performance, might as well go with the best and imho McLaren is clearly ahead in this arena. Even a 570 or old 650S would probably give a 488 a run for its money on track...so safe to say the P14 will outright destroy a 488, and the P14 LT will destroy the eventual 488 Speciale and so on...until our modern-day Ferrari spends less time over-marketing / over-promising / gimmicks whatever you want to label it as, and more time delivering actual numbers.
Funny, I couldn't care less about the numbers. What's important to me is driver experience and you can't be Ferrari at that.
It's nice to have a stable that one can cherry pick for the task at hand. 570S clocked a 1:34.58 at Laguna...that's a solid number... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYmnrbdS0NE[/ame]
This one just popped up local to me... Not sure about the history but seems like a killer price @ $168k: Cars for Sale: Used 2008 Ferrari F430 in Scuderia, San Francisco CA: 94115 Details - Coupe - Autotrader
Seeing at the passenger airbag... it had an accident, which is not so bad, it may be something minor, but the fact, that the alcantara has been so poorly matched, is not very good.
Talking rubbish man... I've seen plenty of cars like that. Car states no accidents and any pre-inspection would clarify that. Why talk what looks to be a decent car down...
I personally don't think, that an accident is such a problem, if it was not a big one of course. But things like broken bumper and headlight can easily be fixed and they don't harm the car in any way. But the way of fixing the car can show you how pedantic the owner has (or hasn't) cared for his car.
Most 2008 scuderias have mismatching airbag alcantara. I've seen this even on some cars with <500 miles.
But why? Haven't they used the same sheet, that they used for the dashboard? This car has a very serious mismatch. Mine is 08 and doesn't have such a problem.
It's an '08 thing. They initially had the airbag manufacture supply the fabric then addressed the issue at some point.
I've seen many Scuds with mistmatch dash airbag cover color, just another example: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like the car has the Racing Fabric option rather than alcantara. This was used on the instrument binnacle, areas of dash and seat bolsters when chosen. There are 4 fabrics used in the Scud as options - Race Fabric (bit like canvas), Alcantara, 3D Fabric (fabric in centre of seats with lots of holes) and Leather. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
+1. 08 models indeed do have mismatched alcantara issue on the airbag. Some more discolored than others, low miles or not. I believe late 08 models , issue was corrected. 09 models dont have this isssue. Mine has it too and Ive contemplated getting it reupholstered.
Didn't suspect that at all, but anyway - this is an absolute mess, that Ferrari have made. And to be honest, if my car had this, I would take it to an upholstery shop to fix it immediately. It just seems too much to me.
