UPDATE: After reviewing the facts of this claim and giving both parties consideration, PayPal settled this dispute by returning the full deposit to the OP.
Congrats on getting the money back Schulz. Personally, I wouldn't do business with BN after following this situation. I am a bit surprised, however, that more previous customers of BN didn't weigh in here with their stories(both good and bad). It's very strange IMHO given that over 18,000 Ferrari enthusiasts have viewed this thread.
So good times were had by all. Ok, maybe not, but PayPal made the OP whole, Norwood got its virtual ass kicked and at least a portion of its reputation smudged, and we can now all return to our regularly scheduled programming. Hey MODS!! Time to close this one yet? D
sure and one last time Bob Norwood and Norwood Autocraft have nothing to do with James Patterson and Norwood Auto Italia for 10 years now. Norwood Auto Italia is respected as one of the best independent shops in the world.
Great news you got the deposit back, i hope the seller will learn its lesson and will better behave to potential customers. Many of us will never deal with Norwood after your experience, thanks for warning us and making this case public.
The OP stated in the previous thread HE was refunded the money. #327 Report Post Old 09-22-2016, 06:01 PM Schulz308 Schulz308 is online now Formula Junior Rossa Subscribed Join Date: May 2014 Location: STL USA Posts: 456 UPDATE: After reviewing the facts of this claim and giving both parties consideration, PayPal settled this dispute by returning the full deposit to the OP.
I just got the email this morning. That is why I posted this. If you read the email in the picture Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
Ok I'm confused. I stopped reading the other train wreck of a thread so I'm not sure about names. This one makes it sound like you're the buyer, who received a refund from Norwood. Is that wrong? What gives? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
It seems odd that both parties claim contrapuntally agreeable resolutions. Is this a mistake by Paypal or are mendacious liberties being taken?. Mr. Norwood might be well served by asking Mr. Hale to limit his usage of the internet to matters which don't involve Norwood.
I wondered about that. If anything could make them further disconnected from reality, it would be this thread showing PayPal deciding against them. I'm not sure what the point of this is? If they voluntarily returned it, that might salvage some reputation. This just shows they had to be forced to do the right thing imo. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Sweet! You should be able to keep the doors open a while longer with that kind of dough. Enjoy the toboggan ride!
Very interesting that minion deliberately called this thread "Experience with Norwood" without mentioning "Norwood Autocraft". Bringing confusion with James Patterson and "Norwood Auto Italia"... disgusting. Rob I think you should rename the thread.
It seems the buyer who sent the $2000 deposit originally won his dispute with paypal, then Norwood(the seller) appealed the decision to refund the paypal deposit. Norwood won the appeal and the decision to refund was changed to not refunding the deposit and the seller gets the deposit back from the buyer. Confusing, but that's how I interpret this. Basically Buyer sends $2000 deposit to seller Buyer appeals and paypal decides to refund buyer Seller appeals decision to refund paypal reverses decision and seller now keeps(or gets back if returned already) the $2000 deposit
Not surprising how people on an Internet site jump to conclusions without really knowing the entire story.
One would think. I exchanged PM's with the OP from the other thread. I am not so sure this is the case though. I am going to make a fresh batch of popcorn and get comfortable.
