Hi does anyone have the S Line exhaust on their 360? just want to get some feedback on how it sounds.

I've noticed that for 360, most are looking for the Challenge Stradale set up or 430 modified exhaust.

However, 430 guys are swapping their sports exhaust or standard exhaust for the S line in numbers.

    Thanks.

I'm the only one who has it for the 360. I have the prototype system and so far, it's the only one they've made.

I love it. It's quiet when just driving and loud enough when I'm on the throttle. It has s nice transition from quiet to loud, and there's no drone whatsoever.

Sherpa, does it have that same high pitched F1 sound like you hear on the 430s sporting it? If so, I might have to consider swapping out the Tubi (which sounds awesome, but not F1 awesome....)

I assume that people understand that the 360 had a five valve head like the 355 and not a four valve head like the F430. That difference alone accounts for a large difference in sound between the two models. To bring the F1 sound to the F430 was a fair amount of work and design. When they adapt those principles from the F430 exhaust to the 360 exhaust, it accentuates a sound that is largely already there. Other exhausts just make that stock sound louder. The S-Line does not do that. It actually enhances the flow and with that, you get that nice pitch and sound. It's loud but not as loud as something like the Tubi 3. It's a really great system.

EDIT: Important note: I don't have one on my F430 because I purposely like having a valved system to that car so that it can be really quiet when I want it to be. However, something that I've noticed is that when the valves go from closed to open, it's an abrupt change. Like kind of quiet to suddenly loud. I hate that. I may end up doing an S-Line on that car for that very reason alone.

Here's a short video of my car with my S-Line exhaust. The sound has gotten better and higher pitched with age and heat cycles.

It truly is the best exhaust system out there.

Any idea how does the X-pipe sound in comparison with the 360 CS? I heard from quite a few people the CS is one of the best sounding car with stock exhaust, and that's why many 360 owners tend to go with the CS exhaust.

We have a few people in the club with the CS exhaust. It sounds nice but, imho, there is no comparison with the S-Line. Plus the S-Line is a ton lighter and seems to make for a cooler engine bay.

Sherpa, which header/cat combos have you run the Sline with in that video? Definitely has that F1 sound!

Stock headers and Capristo cats. It's even more "F1 like" now as the system has gotten a few hundred miles and some heat cycles. It really sounds nice.

Sherpa23's S-line exhaust system is drop dead gorgeous in person. Sounds funny to say but it looks the part as well as "plays" the part. It is so refreshing to see a piped system with quality metals and welding, and not a big exhaust "can" (like the Tubi on my F355 that is sitting right next to his car at the shop right now).

I am curious to know if S-line will build a 95' 355 exhaust for me? I assumed people have inquired for S-line to produce a 355 system already, before I go contacting them myself does anyone know if they have looked into a 355 "Muffler" ? I have Fabspeed headers, test pipes and next is a custom built Y-pipe, all hi-temp powder coated. I like my cars loud and they need to sound this good, if you're going to go this loud imo.

Also, I have tracked a 360 CH Strad for several years, it roared like a fine tuned amplifier with perfect pitches...just too loud for the street, and I love loud cars just not hurt childrens ears loud.

This S-line looks like the perfect middle ground. Enjoy!

Well, they do take on special projects. Today they are prototyping a "muffled" S Line system for my F430. I didn't want my F430 to be as loud as the 360 and since the car has fabspeed headers, it might be enough to make the car extra loud. So in true S Line spirit they are making a system with two small resonantor chambers to slightly lower the volume. They have my car now and will be working on it this week. I hope it's done by Friday.

I WILL get one, had a little snag this year. Moving from a place I have been for 35 years 550 miles away. Have been doing it for 6 months and almost finished!!!! My last load to the scrap yard was 11 tons, not a hoarder just had lots of stuff to pick through when I needed something. Still have to build the new hobby shop at the new house, cars are in a horse barn right now!! Love the sound of the X pipe on the 360.
