Interesting they are lighter than sport seats. I wonder how the weight compares to standard 3.0 liter seats. The leather looks amazing on yours.

I’ve always like those seats…very rare. I believe they debuted at the fall 1976 London Motor Show on the Martini Turbo.

MY COA states electrical antenna replaced by manual antenna drives side, so not all turbo’s came with electrical antennas from factory.

Yesterday, I found these two window trims. One (on the right) is brand new. Under the rubber is the untouched black anodized trim, not faded. I also found this drivers' side sliverknit carpet, brand new, was never used. That comes from an old Sonauto stock. There were also rooms full of period archives, many warranty booklets (some blanks), administrative docs. Certainly with some 930 history in there, but you would need ages to organize that...

    Thomas - that's a very interesting option...did the COA specify M490?

Would anyone have the reference and a photo of the internal rear miror (ROW 76)? I have two different ones and am not sure which one is correct.
    Thanks

Here is info from a very reliable source,

"Entfall der elektrischen Antenne, und Einbau einer normalen Antenne links"

On the coa it's stated that antenna was links left, which means manual and all electrical antennas where always right ( passenger side )

My car was delivered with köln radio and had no rear speakers in the rear shelf either ( only door speakers )

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing. Yes, the original black gloss from the mid-1970s was much more shiny than people realize...

Agreed Ryan, the finishes are very different from the 1980's cars, specifically my '86. The '75-'79 seemed to have much greater fade due in part to the metallurgy process. It would be nice to know the differences in the processes and what year it was specifically changed. Regardless of mileage most 930s of this era have serious fade or uneven discoloration. Very nice finish above, very accurate.

Also important to note is that the window frames for the doors received a different process that the window frames for the rear side windows!! They did not quite match when new.

    Hey,
Can anybody use these. I just bought them but I'm not going to use them. They are brand new Pirelli CN36 in sizes 185 x 15 and 215 x 15. $1200 for the set. Local pickup preferred.

I also have 2 fronts and 1 rear original, rock hard CN36's. All have good tread, rear tire has sidewall cracking.I'd like to get $100 each for those.

    TCar,

I will answer for Tom assuming he might not see this for a bit. He is located in Southern California. I believe in or around the LA area.

It seems to me that my '77 930 came originally with Pirelli P7s and they had a rubber ridge around the inside rim of the wheel that stuck out to protect the wheel. But that tire was soon discontinued which was disappointing as I liked the rubber ridge although I never had a curb incident to test the ridge.

Hope somebody can help me with the question below.

I am considering to buy a MY 75 from a friend and the car was originally a sonderfarbe on request.

    The certificate of originality states:

    Tonbac Metallic W2
    Sonderfarbe 99

Is this the VW color L99K and is it the same Copper Brown Metallic of the Porsche optional colors?

    Thank you for any help.
