I will be happy to start a build thread if there is enough interest. Not sure if it violates any rules. Please do it!!!!

Ferrari 315/335 Tires. Hiro did simplify them a lot. Only Mini Delta has done correct Englebert tires for this car, and that was on their wonderful 1/8th scale model. As much detail as they put on this Hiro kits wire wheels and then to do the tires like this is strange, and they are slightly small. Also the rear does have a few issues as I already mentioned. You can either build it out of the box wich is good, or correct the problems and make it perfect. Since it cost $850.00 I would say make it perfect. The tires are good enough but could have been a lot better(unless you have a new better set already printed). And a build thread on this kit would be great Peter. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will start a thread soon. Already into the color coats. This build will be more or less box stock with no major modifications. Bonnet and rear lid required a lot of trimming to create the correct gaps. They almost overlapped strait from the kit. Couple of pictures from the 56th All Japan Toy&Hobby Show. Speculation is that there will be a p/e detail set from Hobby Design and several sets of decals from Studio27 for Boutsen-Ginion, Schubert, and Walkenhorst versions. Won't be terribly surprised to see an IMSA version eventually either. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The real question I have is, will Tamiya make a 1/12 kit of the LaFerrari? Or even better, a 1/12 kit of the FXX K? Please Tamiya, please! -F
Here is the IMSA GTLM and GTD(GT3) versions when at Road America last month...The BMW team was complaining about how big this car is for a race car compared to the old IMSA car. Kind of a tank!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
nicely done - I'd love to see the kit progress. A Hiro 917 is in my future, I'm just starting assembly of a Tamiya - Chevron 312T2 1977 kit... 1/12 scale...
Yes it is a bit of a beast, lol. As for the kit it is a shame that the Rowe livery is so boring making an aftermarket sheet essential for me. The Walkenhorst "Playstation" car is much more interesting visually. Perhaps Turner decals will be done by M&S, I find the factory livery kind of uninspired.
I found one on Ebay -not sure if it was his store - came from California. At first when I got the kit -I was underwhelmed, but I have the body parts cut out & sanded and first coats of paint... I'm much more encouraged. I think it will come out good. I bought an abandoned 312T kit on Ebay for like $50... not much work was done - but the Chassis was completed so I had to un do most of that and make cuts and delete some of the chassis, but in all its coming together. once this model is done I'll have 1/12 Scale F-1 Ferrari-s from 312T - 312T5' models. from 75 - 1980. I'm Partial to the Niki Lauda years of Ferrari as I saw him in person in all of those cars at Watkins Glen... so sentimental as I get older!
Yes that was him. Nice set of cars you are going to end up with - and nothing wrong with getting sentimental as we age.

1/24 ASTON MARTIN DB2 KIT BY HERMOSILLO MEXICO I saw this kit awhile ago. I wonder how it compares to the Profil 24 kit. Motoi has one for sale on ebay. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Panel gaps are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too good. For accuracy one needs to make the bonnet stick out a bit at the rear and the doors to look like they have worn hinges Pete
