Does anyone by any chance have photo(s) of the Ferrari stand at the 1978 British Motor Show at the NEC? I have recently acquired a 308GT4 that was on the stand that year.
    Thanks,
    Chris.

Apparently, the background of first image shows a Pegaso stand and AFAIK, the marque first presence at the PMS was in 1951.

Boudewijn, he's referring to the Pegaso logos visible in the background. That's clearly a Pegaso stand and something is on it - under a tarp in one photo, surrounded by spectators in another, and then finally revealed. It's a commercial chassis.

Pegaso began manufacturing trucks and buses in 1946. Also, notice that a Herwaythorn HWT commercial chassis is similarly displayed on the stand to the right.

Very sorry Boudewijn, it is 0063 S and not 063 S. Two leading zeros here, four digits. And I haven't even mentioned the slash. See photo.

Request: the official world premiere of the F40 was at the 52th IAA Frankfurt Auto Show (11-20 September 1987).

Up to now I have found the following: chassis 74047 was on the Auto Becker / Ferrari stand. But since this car was modified a lot in its early days (prototype F40 -> LM -> CSAI-GT), in which guise was it displayed?

There was a second chassis on the Pininfarina stand, for which I have no info at all.

Any help on chassis numbers or pics is greatly appreciated!

The F40 on the PF stand at Frankfurt 1987 was 74049.

Could this be 74047? This is the Motor Show in Essen, Germany in 1989.

Marcel, thank you for the chassis number. Since both 74047 and 74049 were prototype cars and the Frankfurt Auto Show was the official world premiere of the F40, is it safe to assume that both cars were in standard F40 configuration and not already upgraded to LM configuration?

This photograph was taken by me on 24 October 1986 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Possibly far too modern for this thread but scarily it was over 30 years ago.

Hi, does anyone have photos of the Ferrari / Maranello Stand at the 1978 Motor Show (the first one held at the Birmingham NEC)?
I have acquired a 308GT4 which was ordered by Maranello specifically for the Show stand.
    Thanks for any help,
    Chris.
