Don't we all want the best driver to win and to celebrate his talent? Unless it's not really about the sport of course?
Hamilton is a dark cloud on proceedings with all those cliches and scripted speeches .... Nico started to fall into the same pattern until Webber cut him off
You know, if you are Mercedes board, and the guy you pay multi millions to drive is on public tv essentially telling the world he is being cheated on internally, and you have Alonso driving the wheels off a car barely fit to pass scrutineering knocking on the door.... do you sack him ?
What needs to be said at this point is, for all the Elton fans..... Watch Schumacher after the penultimate race in 2006, when his engine gave out while leading, and effectively losing any mathematical chance of beating Alonso to the championship. He walked back to the team, thanked every single one of them, gave a concise and thoughtful assessment of what happened, not once blaming the team, nor spy's, nor anyone else, and congratulated Alonso Elton loses an engine with loads of races still to go and two free new engines available anyway, and can't possibly believe it's just bad luck, it has to be aliens/the FIA/FBI/Mercedes sabotaging him and making him lose on purpose..... There, my friends, is the difference between a true great, and just a decent driver in the class car of the field
Possibly. Congrats to Red Bull and Ricci. Dont care for Max or what he does at all and complains to early and often. Vettel explained it clearly about the incident. Bad luck for LH but his comments were less than team oriented!. Well done for Nico getting the gap on Kimi and extending his lead.
Yep. The drivers need to be good ambassadors of the brand and, let's face it, Mercedes would be winning the titles with or without a star driver. Any driver insinuating that the team is deliberately sabotaging him should be disciplined at the very least if not fired outright. All the best, Andrew.
Stopped watching some races due to my fear of dying of chronic boredom but reading the various f1 sites and LH's comments/behavior, I couldn't agree more with this. LH is not a gentleman. The true character of someone is how he/she deals with adversity, and LH's true character comes through again. now you see why I'd never want him driving for SF-he's the antithesis of a Schumey.
"Hear, hear" is an abbreviation of "hear him, hear him". "Here, here" is a way of calling for the ball in the Premiership or summoning your dog. All the best, Andrew.
Is anyone as impressed as I am with the quietly strong Sergio Perez finishing 6th and having 74 total points?
yup. The Hulk was not far down the road today and had a terrible season, thus far. FI built an excellent ride and hopefully can hold on to 4th.
DNF's of Graham Hill vs Jim Clark in 1967? Any of you nice old geezers got a count on that? I seem to remember in Ford's Nine Days in Summer Hill had lots of problems, perhaps caused by how hard he drove the car? The Mercedes had enjoyed incredibly fine reliability until this season, they keep optimizing for the balance of ultimate speed vs reliability, and perhaps get it wrong from time to time.
I tend to think Lewis pushes his car and the powertrain much harder than Nico does hence his increased failures
no such thing, remember louis is the GOAT as someone here once said..of course its not louis fault also louis say something doesnt feel right so it's divine intervention or rosberg have someone make his engine goes boom
Very different circumstances if you were part of the team. In one case, you are still winning the GP, and both your cars are running on track, you know your guy that spun is potentially the fastest out there by a large margin, and can make it back. In the other case, you watch your GP win melt before your eyes, you also end up with a car that will *not* be easy to work on, I highly doubt "on fire" is good for anything back there. So in one case, a 2nd becomes a 3rd, in the other, a 1st becomes a DNF.
They had two cars running first and second, and one spun, you think they shouldn't be concerned? I'm afraid I don't buy it. Toto after the race was barely interested in talking about nico's recovery drive, only deflecting talk about eltons rash and unfounded comments
