You'll find many of eltons engine parts scattered around at turn one....... Hehehehehehe. Couldn't resist!
I'm interested to see the list of engine component failures so far this season by driver, to see if Hamilton is justified in his claim that he's the only Mercedes powered driver suffering all the failures.
Actually, most of my posts aren't about him, unlike yours. You say your comments were made immediately after the race. By my reckoning and fchat timing, they were made 8 hours after the end of the race, and following comments including those denoting vettels penalty, which was given an hour or more after it ended. Your reference to hack clearly concerned rosberg, I just reviewed it to make sure of my own comments. He has definitely beaten Elton rather a lot, especially this year and the end of last, so I'd say it damages eltons reputation more than anything to be suggesting that he is one. But look, I opened a Hamilton appreciation thread for his fans to congregate and celebrate him, so you can see I'm trying to be a nice guy. I just can't help pointing out misinterpretations.
+1 and JB had no problems with LH either. Sorry but LH does not actually walk on water. He has plenty of 'hack' moments. Good racer sure, perfect not ever. No one is. Had LH won today my thoughts would have been - Well done/perfect weekend and race management. His engine prevented that. His first words should have been - thank you team no matter, you worked hard and gave me a car to take pole and almost win. Nope he blamed God, Buddah or whoever in the team instead of gratitude. Then his later press release he pulled a complete reversal. Entitled then 'corrected'. He needs help Nico has more than earned his wins and place with Mercedes.
I would imagine that the works Mercedes team are pushing the envelope rather more when it comes to engine components and modes, so it is far more likely they would suffer failures than the teams buying engines which are likely supplied with the most reliable engine parts, not those being introduced and tested whilst racing by the works team. Renault seem to have more issues than red bull too, so maybe it's just the pushing of the envelope. Nico has always seemed rather smoother and less fractious on his car than Elton too, so driving style and the demands of such a style may force the engine to go critical earlier. At the time Elton suffered his blow up, he was on the most aggressive engine mode according to Mercedes, as he was trying to push the gap to lil' Maxie to try to get a pit stop ahead of him, maybe that's what did it, as they certainly were not happy to let Nico use the same mode for very long, only enough to get his 10 seconds to Kimi before turning it back down when kimis tyres started to lose grip
+1 on the engine status of both LH and Nico. Add Max pressuring LH and the heat and humidity at the circuit and you have a prescription for stress and or failure. As if that has never happend before.
Lol, Elton made a comment after Singapore GP saying that he ''had no idea how he'd crawl back the points'' (only 8 points down at that point...). 2007 Kimi was 17 points back with 2 races to go (and max 20 points to get). You didn't hear him ***** about having ''lost the title''.
No, I said my comments were made after watching the race. The race started at 12:55 am here in Mountain Standard Time in North America, so I didn't watch it live. I hadn't seen the posts about Vettel's penalty or apology when I commented first, immediately after I finished watching the recording of the race, before reading the entire thread or any other race reports. Yes, you are correct in inferring that my reference to hack concerned Rosberg, since I specifically said "Rosberg again proves that he is a hack driver who hasn't got a clue about overtaking", "Rosberg again proved that he's a crap racer", and "Rosberg is a fast driver - but a poor racer"... very sharp of you to pick that up I didn't mention Hamilton in those comments, but since you insist - yes, Rosberg has beaten Hamilton many times this season and before, usually when he starts ahead of Hamilton and gets to drive in clean air - hence, "Rosberg is a fast driver but a poor racer". When it comes to defending or overtaking,, Rosberg is less accomplished - just ask Verstappen for his thoughts, since you don't value Hamilton's You could ask the race stewards, too, since they have now penalized Rosberg three times this season for his hack overtaking or defending.
I wonder if hamiltons engine issue was a result of what they did in Spa by prepping so many engines for use, small construction or manufacturing issue with the pace they must have built at? Or maybe trying to improve something in that batch. The more interesting question is that if it is one of the new engines are the rest at risk as well than?
He doesn't have to start in front of Elton, plenty of times he takes Elton off the line and then earns the clean air
Definitely true - Rosberg seems to be less affected by Mercedes' "clutch issues" than Hamilton. (Meaning, I suspect it's more down to the respective driver's ability to create a fast start with the current clutch mechanics/electrics than it is to faulty clutch mechanics/electrics)
Sorry Gordon, I've read and read that one, not got it.... Are you saying that eltons is systemically faulty? I may be being a bit stupid but it's gone over my head
Sorry, I mean that Rosberg is better than Hamilton at getting a quick start with their current clutch/control system. Perhaps the system is poorly designed, perhaps there are mechanical issues with clutch heat versus power transfer etc that Mercedes needs to redesign, but with the system as-is, Rosberg is doing a much better job with his race starts. Or, Hamilton is doing a much worse job!
Ahhhh. Agreed. Wolff stated before the race that Daimler have a team of specialists working on the clutch, but when pushed, admitted it is more than a simple fix, and likely to remain unresolved this season despite the special attention it is getting
Congrats to Nico for a good race taking him from 21st to 3rd, remember how gushing many posters were when Lewis came through from last to take 3rd at the Belgian GP, so has to be as good. Far more importantly, bad form from Elton to blame the engines and Mercedes, maybe its his style of hard driving and extreme humidity..... Never a good look to blame the company that is paying you a lot of money, just saying.
Uh, because he had bad brake problems. Serious question - do you actually watch the races? As for qualifying, he didn't have any problems beating Hamilton at Monaco this year in qualifying, or in 2014, or in 2013, but good point otherwise Regarding your hack racer comments, do I really need to point out how many times LH has ran Rosberg off the road the past two seasons? How about Hungary last year when he had to pass some cars? Hamilton pinballed into everything, it was embarrassing. Anyway, looks like seeing that motor let go has you in a sour mood, have a beer it'll be ok
Serious answer - screw you, I'm not interested in insulting your intelligence, you, or others who's opinions may differ from mine, and I'm not interested in being similarly insulted either.
My experience with amateur 24hr races where I'm both a driver as well as in charge of strategy. When something goes crap for the driver who's in the kart, my focus is on working things out, minimizing impact, and getting the best race finish possible. I'm not going to run crying into the parking lot with a still running car on the track because of a spin on the first lap of an endurance race. And while F1 cars are more reliable than their past, it is still a race of endurance as well as speed.
Relax, was just wondering since you're apparently clueless about things that are obvious to everyone actually watching
Just watched the start of the race on the replay to see wtf all the talk is about. They gave Seb a 3 spot penalty for that but nada to Max for his past shenanigans?? That's why I no longer watch. Roll on 2017!!!!
