The same publisher also has a book about Vignale available. In addition to offering the usual photos, I found it to be a genuine delight to read. It has been written by Alfredo Vignale's nephew and the depth of his family knowledge really comes through in the text. I am able to read Italian, but the English translation included looked acceptable. I highly recommend it.

an arrival in today's mail, is this great study of auto advertising from the 'teens to 1973
if you have any interest in the history of auto advertising over the history, this gives you a glance at a multitude of brands.
I wish there were more examples of each brand, but that book would weigh 10X as much!

This big (1100 pages !) book arrived in today's mail.

Ferrari Rex by Luca Dal Monte.

Already a best seller in Italy ! "The" definitive biography of Enzo Ferrari.

According to Luca Dal Monte Facebook there will be an english edition : "and even if cannot reveal the details yet, can already disclose that FERRARI REX will be translated and published in at least two different languages from Italian!"

FERRARI REX Biografia di un grande italiano del Novecento

I am on page 189 of it right now. I have learned a few new details about Enzo Ferrari. Needless to say, it appears to be very thorough, covering the totality of available information. The author relies heavily on interviews with Franco Gozzi, which IMO its a good place to start. I do wish it had an index and, unfortunately, the photos are nothing special.

Only the title make me thrills, Rex...can be my dog :)..or better say a Dinausorius, anyway I never, had the idea to compare Enzo with a Dinausorius.
    A good title, makes imagination.

Rex means king in Latin and, given that this book is roughly three inches thick and 99%+ well researched text, I can understand how one might make the claim that this is the "king" of Enzo Ferrari books.

Presumptuous no? I think the best Ferrari book was made by himself.
Anyway, at this time I will expect a French edition,
French is beautiful to read, and it s a diplomatic tongue.
probably it serve this Ferrari Rex?
