Depends whats sticking it. if crude try pulling out and blow it out with air If that dont work replace it for safety sakes
They did mine last winter: https://www.safetyrestore.com/ 18 years was enough. Got new webbing and full cleaning / lube.
A lot of the time this is a symptom that the grease has dried up (oil has evaporated leaving the metallic soap). If you can get at the grease points on the bearings, try a drop or two of oil and let it soak in overnight. If this loosens them up, then disassemble, clean and relube.
Depends on the person. I thought it was easy...but.. The spider means you have to pull the seats out. That's about an hour and two Peroni's. Getting the mechanisms out was about 1/2 hour & one Peroni. Pictures, packing and paperwork was 1/2 hour and one Peroni. I brought them to the UPS office the next day after the Peroni wore off Berlinetta / GTS may not need the seats to come out. Saves two Peroni's.
For a spider you do not need to pull the seats out. (but it is easy enough to do that) The big screw that is on the lower part of the seat on the back, the one that holds the actual reel, is accessibele with the seat moved forward. The other parts the same, only finnicky part may be the covers on the side of the seat. So actually it may be clever indeed to remove the seats first... The system is actually the same as a Mercedes W202 rear systems (which by itself has used 2 systems, this one, and another) , you can recognize it by the slot in the closing part of the belt. Made by Autoflug. The only part that is different is the mounting on the other end (sill side), that piece of metal is curved where the 348 piece is not. But an angle grinder solved that for me. So I repaired my belts (webbing) with 2 sets that I bought for 10 euro each...
Oh, yeah... Nothing beats pizza and beer! Mine is a 348TS, not a Spider, so it might be a different set-up. The problem is the shoulder belts between the seats are sagging like a 65-year old waitress at the Golden Nugget in Vegas (see photo ...of the seat belts, not the waitress!) Here's a pic of them removed. Not a difficult task. Very straightforward. Maybe a one beer job? Mine will be sent off to be repaired / restored. Btw nice seats! Image Unavailable, Please Login
