    Details:

This is an 8,500 mile 2003 Acura NSX finished in New Formula Red over Onyx (black). It's the first USA NSX produced for the 2003 model year, bearing the #001 VIN number stamped on its kick plates. I am representing this car on behalf of the current owner.

8,500 miles. VIN: JH4NA21673T000001. Location: Tennessee.

Zero accidents. All-original paint. All VIN tags are in place. 100% clean Carfax. 100% clean, free & clear title.

This NSX is unmodified apart from a Pride v2 exhaust & Xpel clear bra. The stock exhaust is included.

    Flaws:

    None.

    Maintenance Information:

Car has been maintained properly by Acura dealers throughout its life. This shows on the Carfax as well as included service records.

    Car comes with the following:

    - Original window sticker.
    - Original owner's manuals.
    - Maintenance records.
    - All original keys.
    - Xpel Clear bra information.

    Price:

A 2005 NSX with 5,000 miles recently sold at the Auctions America event in Auburn, Indiana for $144,000. This comparable car, with a significantly rarer color and unique #001 production number, is available for significantly less. Please contact me at [email protected] for full pricing details.

Actually, it is. Only 280 USA NSXs were produced in New Formula Red starting in 1999, and only some of those are the '02+ revision cars.

You are probably thinking of the original Formula Red, which was a slightly different shade and the textbook color for '91+ NSXs.

How does one exhibit such self restraint and NOT drive a car like this? It's like what Jim Glickenhaus says, "not having sex with your lady to make her more desirable for the next owner."

Well, the vast majority of NSXs have been driven, and driven hard.

Most I come across have 6-figure miles, so it's nice to have some pristine examples left so that our children and their children will be able to appreciate what these cars were like as-new.

I would. What have you you got to lose. If it doesn't sell for another week raise it again, eventually you will find a buyer. Remember you're never priced too high, just too early. Good luck. ;-)

Congrats on the sale. Good car to buy; amazingly low mileage - someone most likely got a very good deal.

Most people don't appreciate just how low the production numbers were for the late model year NSXs. As pointed out here, even a red 2002+ NSX (which incidentally wasn't the most popular color) is a rare thing. Here is the break down by color for the 862 model year 2002 -2005:

    Silver: 283 cars (33%)
    Black: 142 cars (16%)
    Yellow: 139 cars (16%)
    Red: 137 cars (16%)
    Blue: 88 cars (10%)
    Orange: 49 cars (6%)
    White: 24 cars (3%)

When you start looking at the numbers, you can appreciate just how good of a deal this car is if you are looking for a red NSX with the fixed headlights.

Very true. My 02+ was the most-common silver, I was excited to be able to offer a red one.

Congratulations on the sale, hope the new owner enjoys the NSX.

Here's a breakdown of production numbers/colors of NSX's by year.

It really makes you fell old when the cars you bought new when you got older are becoming classics!
