Funny though, how official documents stating that Verstappens move was under appeal from Mercedes are apparently the words of an idiot and it never happened (In hamiltons own words, now deleted).

Does the FIA take the word of just anyone then to open cases?

    ;)

Lewis just carried too much speed into the corner. Assumed he got passed Max. He would have never have let the move stick. He would have overshot. What a cry baby.

I disagree. By default, either Mercs was gonna win any race this season. However, the race had so much of overtakings and it was quite entertaining. Monza, Canada,..now those were boring races.

Nico is channeling a little bit of Schumacher in his post race antics. I do not recall him punching cameras before, Shchumacher would be committing the horrible sin of signing the expensive lenses with a sharpy, but close enough.

Something about Lewis on podium just *kills* the celebration for everyone.

Massively exciting races, the cars are the best looking in 23 years, they are hard to drive, twitch, over steer and understeer, they are not slot cars with traction control.

Very exciting season throughout the grid.

Honestly I fell asleep and woke up seeing exactly what I expected to see.

This season is a bore. Snapchats of Lewis have been the only fun.

    That's sad.

Look at any podium in the past couple of years without Lewis (admittedly, very few of those)...the atmosphere was a LOT better.

How can you claim that if you haven't seen the race? It was excellent.

Hamilton tweeted that he was not in favor of the protest, which has since been withdrawn by the team. In watching the replay video, I think Max was really close to making an illegal double move. LH's cockpit view showed Max juking very slightly to the left just before closing the door by moving to the right (inside) of the corner. Is that just racing? Too close to call.

    Fair racing move I'd say.

Boring race but I loved the track analysis with Max and the slotcars. One of the funniest things all year long

From the onboard, he made the move pretty early and very much an expected block. He's made far later moves, those are the ones he got in some trouble for.

Nothing wrong with Max's move. It was hard but fair. Ham had no chance of making that stick.

If the MBs' don't take each other out or break they don't lose. Car is simply too quick.

Good recap, thanks. If JB is in fact retiring, he should have a proper send off. Rubens had a somewhat similar final season as he kept looking for a drive until the very end, and he just melted into the off-season never to return. Massa is doing it right imo. Poor guy, McLaren just keeps stringing him along. I hope he's back, he's still good enough to be with the rest of them, but none of it matters if the 2017 McLaren is a dog.

Seems like ferrarichat isn't the only place where Elton fails to impress the very fans of the sport where he should really be a much loved and admired personality. Maybe his ardent fans might recognise this and stop accusing us all of being mindless haters?

+1 on Massa. A classy way to end a good career. Id love to see JB run again. The surprise is the turn of things with Vettel. Again what arent we hearing in the press about Ferrari. Strange as we think here Arriva is the guy who might be out, in truth is it Vettel?

Is Arriva doing a good job for Sergio and they grow weary of Vettel? A Mclaren move for Vettel or otherwise? Intriguing it all is.

Does Ferrari strategy stink this year or is it simply me?
Holy molly, It IS me. Sorry everyone...my fault..

Ferrari strategy has been at fault for many years now, most of us could organise timing of pit stops better than the current strategists with our totally amateur observations. I for one would bet a million bucks I could call them better at any given race.... just give someone (probably a more balanced person than me) the opportunity, I'm certain we would do it for free and pay our own way

    There's a strategy? Really?

The only strategy I've seen is by the third race they realized they have no chance to win and then went about proving it.
