John, as Rob says, you can treat it with any rubber cleaner, the main thing is elbow effort to rid the rubber of the chalky white residue first, then apply rubber cleaner and wipe off the excess, and voila, you have a brand-new steering column boot. I think this is one of those things where you do it once and it'll stay nice. Well worth the effort.

We have Raymond's system on-board and we'll road test it with it.

That said, I have a complete NOS Magneti Marelli pack on stand-by.

We'll see what we do, its one of those things where we'll do whatever is working best for us.

    Thank you Mark.

The place looks like a little Countach cottage industry!

If I do, it will be only after I have put a considerable amount of miles on it and am happy that it is all dialed-in.

I cannot wait to see that myself, the car has so much gold flake in the paint which is unfortunately not seen inside the shop.

Webb Bland who shot the 288 GTO for me https://www.behance.net/gallery/38770721/The-Lauda-Ferrari-288-GTO for Octane magazine cannot wait either! He'll be shooting it for them.

    Fantastic.

Is it still with the original owner?

With the same owner for more than 20 years, I'll ask him for the story before.

    Thank you Joe!

All I can say is WOW. I have driven and owned some incredible cars but a well setup Downdraft has embossed a permanent smile on my face.

The difference between a 4 valve Fuel Injected car and the Downdraft is incredible.

The Downdraft is fast revving, responsive in every gear and fast!

    .... Insured for just under $1,000,000... : )

 :D I'll leave your comments alone :)

Check your headlamps, I bet they are yellowed French-spec lenses ;) which are very cool.

Please post pics when you do one of your incredible shoots.

Yes please, it would be interesting to know.

I bet most of the 180,000 on the clock belongs to the current owner, what an ambassador for the model! Rob needs to get him over to the UK next year for the Countach Reunion, if I remember correctly, he did make the trip to the UK @ 10 years ago for the Supercar gathering in Brighton which involved many Countachs.

    Photos coming soon!

Yes! To our surprise it has VERY cool yellow lenses.

After a few days in Miami, I can confidently say... No car gets as much as attention as a Countach.

    French-spec.

From when it was French-registered 8589 WB 42 (check your files).

    Seriously, congratulations.

A Downdraft roaming the streets of Miami?

When was the last time that happened? :)
